I just published my night mode script including instructions on how to use it here. Once again, I do not take any responsibility if you get banned for using this patch.

(There's probably a way via TCPGecko to force night mode, which would be better than file patching. I'm not the right person to investigate that, however.)
Splatoon hangs on loading screen.. Should I try again?

@iAqua Yeah, I think you should try again. I just tried the script with a clean copy of Static.pack and it worked fine. Anything suspicious in the cafiine_server or the script output?

(This is sort of unrelated, but apparently my secondary NNID's ban was lifted?? I'm not sure if I want to risk playing online while cafiine is installed and risk a console ban)

Hey OatmealDome, can you make a version that also plays the squid sisters music? I imagine you would replace all the battle music with the squid sisters music, right?

Along with this, we want to add or even just obtain sound files, data and edit text! {But with what's happened, it has been hard.}

Heres a quick guide on how to edit sound files!

Custom Music:
Step 0: If you haven't already, dump Splatoon using DDD. (If you need a tutorial for this, let me know. I would be glad to write one.)

Step 1: Download Cafiine: https://github.com/MrRean/Cafiine-410-551/archive/master.zip

Step 2: Download Looping Audio Converter: https://github.com/libertyernie/Loo...ad/v1.3/LoopingAudioConverter.1.3.Windows.zip

Step 3: Create a folder called "00050000-10176900" within the "cafiine_root" folder.

Step 4: Create a folder called "vol" within the "00050000-10176900" folder.

Step 5: Create a folder called "content" within the "vol" folder.

Step 6: Create a folder called "sound" within the "content" folder.

Step 7: Create a folder called "resource" within the "sound" folder.

Step 8: Create a folder called "Stream" within the "resource" folder. Your final path should look something like this: http://i.imgur.com/BJcYeGQ.png

Step 9: Open Looping Audio Converter.

Step 10: Import the song you want to use in-game. Make any changes you want, and set the output to .bfstm. For a more in-depth guide on how to use Looping Audio Converter, go to http://www.lakora.us/brawl/loopingaudioconverter/

Step 11: Take your newly created .bfstm audio file and change it's name to the name of the name of the song in-game you want to change. For example: if I wanted to replace the song that plays before a match begins, I would name my file "STRM_VsStartDemo.bfstm"

Step 12: Place the audio file(s) in your "Stream" folder. Here is an example layout including a few files I wanted to replace: http://i.imgur.com/tMLbG9o.png

Step 13: Open cafiine_server.exe on your computer and load "Cafiine + Kernel" from http://http://loadiine.ovh on your Wii U. Set the IP address in Cafiine you your computer's IPV4 address. You can find this by typing "ipconfig" into a command window.

Step 14: Press A in Cafiine to return to the Wii U menu.

Step 15: Launch Splatoon and enjoy your swapped music!

Yep, that's pretty much the easiest way to do this in conjunction with night mode (though I'm not 100% sure that it will work). Create cafiine_root/[title id]/vol/content/Sound/Stream/ then copy "STRM_VS_Festival.bfstm" to it as "STRM_VS01.bfstm", "STRM_VS02.bfstm", (...), and "STRM_VS09.bfstm".

EDIT: fixed path, missed a folder according to my memory. if it's still incorrect do tell me

This is what seemed to be a large cause of the bans! We will maybe remove this.

I would say a temp ban, but Nintendo doesn't really do these things a lot. Don't worry, because it might've just been a small thing, and there's around a 30% chance of a temp ban and a 69% chance of none with like a 1% chance of perma ban.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

This is what we WANT to discover, so if you stick around there's a chance that we'll figure out how to do this thing. Along with this, we want to add or even just obtain sound files, data and edit text! {But with what's happened, it has been hard.}
Music hack examples are in my cafiine pack, just download a BFSTM from smash custom music and put it into the folder structure. I'll do a quick write up with the full path and internal stream names later.

EDIT: Oh, someone did that already. Nice.

I would love a tutorial! I've never heard of this DDD program before

Not a problem! Here you go:

Dumping Splatoon:
Step 0: Make sure you have the Homebrew Launcher set up properly. If you don't have it set up yet, here is a thread explaining how to do so: https://gbatemp.net/threads/homebrew-launcher-for-wiiu.416905/

Step 1: Download and extract DDD: https://github.com/dimok789/ddd/releases/download/v0.3/ddd.v0.3.zip

Step 2: Download and extract TitleDumper: https://github.com/dimok789/ddd/releases/download/v0.3/titledumper.win32.v0.4.zip

Step 3: Place the "wiiu" folder found within the extracted "ddd.v0.3" folder on the root of your SD card. Replace any files if asked.

Step 4: Create a folder on your PC to store the game dump. (For the sake of this tutorial, I will be naming my folder "Splatoon")

Step 4: Open a command window in the directory containing titledumper.exe. You can do this by holding shift and right clicking anywhere in the folder. After right clicking, click the option that says "Open command window here"

Step 5: In the command window, type titledumper.exe /vol "path/to/folder" (Replace /path/to/folder with the actual location of the folder you want to dump the game to.) Here is an example of what should happen if everything is done correctly: http://i.imgur.com/P9BKJpD.png

Step 6: On your Wii U, go to http://loadiine.ovh and load the option that says "Homebrew Launcher 1.2 RC3 (5.3.2 - 5.4.0 - 5.5.0 - 5.5.1)"

Step 7: When the Homebrew Launcher loads, run DDD.

Step 8: Set the IP address in DDD you your computer's IPV4 address. You can find this by typing "ipconfig" into a command window.

Step 9: Press X to return to the Wii U menu

Step 10: Launch Splatoon. It will freeze on the loading screen. This means the game is dumping! You can monitor it's progress through the command window on your computer When it is done, the game will finish booting.

Step 11: Ensure that all the files dumped correctly. Your dump folder should contain approximately 759 Files and exactly 15 Folders. If you are missing any files, repeat steps 4-10 until it dumps the missing files.

Congrats! You just dumped Splatoon!
