Slightly off topic. I think it would be safe to assume that Chao Garden would have never existed if it weren't for Giga Pets, Digimon and Tomagotchi

Very true. Being able to take your Chao with you on the go by transferring it to the original Dreamcast's VMU device even allowed it to act as a Giga Pet of sorts. I miss the old Sega... :(

Online chaos or not, I'm glad they're doing this re-release. It's a good follow up after Sonic Generations's success since this game was their 10th anniversary release back in the day.

It's Sonic Adventure 2! Not Battle, this is the DC version!
If it was SA2:Battle, then it would clearly be labelled in the image. Even the source does say it's the Battle version

They have Chao karate and kart racing in the pictures that are viewable if you go to the source link; these features were only in Battle >.>

Source says it's heavily rumored that there is DLC content prepared for the game, likely all of the GC (Battle) version's extra features as separate DLC.

I absolutely love this game. Cannot wait to play it in HD...

Hopefully there`ll be an HD version of Shenmue and a Remake of all those Panzer Dragoon games at some point. Then I definitely would be a happy SEGA-Fanboy :P

I didn't think people actually thought this game was good at all, I'd much rather see a HD port of a recent Sonic game (COUGH SONIC COLORS COUGH). Yeah I would really bite on a $20 HD port of Sonic Colors with better controls.

so basically the same thing they did with sonic adventure on the psn then? lame, just release the whole thing greedy sega. i don't personally care about this announcement as i have both DC and GC versions anyway, why would anyone buy this for a third time, the only reason anyone would buy this is if they are new to the older 3d sonics and never played both adventure games.

also i pray and hope sega will fix the mounting bugs in adventure 2, i doubt it, if they can upscale the game to HD i am sure they have enough time to fix the bugs too.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
