E3 may be gone, but it's not forgotten, as the trend of a massive Summer video game showcase still lives on in the form of the Summer Game Fest. Promising two hour of announcements and trailers, there will be a lot to see in the presentation. If you're interested in tuning in live, you can catch the show on YouTube and Twitch, when it kicks off at 5pm ET/10pm BST. The host of Summer Game Fest made an official statement clarifying that while there will be some new games shown, viewers may need to adjust their expectations, because a bulk of the presentation's content will focus on updates for pre-existing games.

WOAH, did not expect a guest character in season 2 of SF6, let alone two of them. Terry is pretty fuckin' hype. Bison was kind of a given sooner or later.
the closest thing to another capcom vs snk. still shocked to see my boy

Oh my god, fuck off - Aloy from Horizon 2 is ugly as hell, and we didn't need more of her ugly mug. Horizon's not even that good a series; Ghost of Tsushima is a much better open-world game, that's for sure, and yet we haven't gotten LEGO Jin Sakai.

A Harry Potter game is next. It's Quidditch focused.
Literally just Quidditch, huh? Pass. Not really interested in Harry Potter games, really, just the occasional good fanfiction (since they have the freedom to have incredibly varied plots and ideas).

Star Wars Outlaws has a new trailer
Does anyone actually care about this game? All I've seen are Outlaws roasts and stuff. Star Wars hasn't been good since, arguably, Episode III (and the games since LEGO The Complete Saga, with the singular exception of the Cal Kestis duo - I don't recall the name right now, though).

From the creators of Gris comes a new game about a girl and a wolf cub
Nope. Pass. Gimme a male PC and I'd be more interested.

Atlus's latest game takes the stage. Metaphor Re: Fantazio.
I've seen the first trailer or so for this, and while I do love Persona games...Metaphor just isn't doing it for me. I dunno; the art style or presentation or something is more akin to Shin Megami Tensei (which I don't find enjoyable) than Persona, and the gameplay isn't what I want either.
I'm on the fence with this one - ambivalent, I guess. If it's good upon release, maybe I'll try it, but honestly I'm really waiting for Persona 6. Or a Persona 4 Golden remake, I suppose; either one.

Batman Arkham Shadow is a new game in the Arkham series, and it's a Meta Quest exclusive VR game.
Ooh, cool! A new, PROPER, Arkham game! Amazing! Arkham's always been great when it comes to combat, and decent at exploration; one of the biggest things I like about Arkham Knight is the sheer variety of mooks and how they affect both stealth takedowns and combat.
...Oh, wait, VR...? Ugh, no, what the fuck. Why disappoint me like that? Assholes.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is coming.
I'm pretty sure the original KCD got a lot of flak for 'a lack of diversity'...even though it was based off true history, where there weren't a lot of non-whites around at the time. Hopefully KCD2 remains this historically-accurate, and doesn't kowtow to the bigoted historical-revisionism folks like Assassin's Creed did, like a lot of "medieval/ancient history" shows and media have done.

There's this game with weird potato creatures, with bullet-time third-person combat.
Mr. Potato Head packing heat? WAT?

Alan Wake II is getting a physical collector's edition this Fall.
Yeah, sure, okay - even though Alan Wake 2 barely had Alan Wake himself in it. Hopefully the bloody DLC is almost exclusively focused on Wake, unlike the main game, which focused more on the blackwashed/race-swapped female SWAT member than the eponymous character.

There's a very extended trailer for a mobile game, without featuring any gameplay.
There's a reason for that - mobile games DON'T HAVE GAMEPLAY. Almost entirely true, that, considering the vast majority of them are focused on draining cash from the victim's player's bank account.
But yeah, why the "very extended trailer"? What a waste, considering how shit mobile games are for us customers.

I honestly thought this was JUST a Capcom event, lol. Unfortunately having two Fatal Fury characters that I don't play isn't going to make me go back to SF6 again. COTW looks sick though, need a release date.

The US should have him sing to prisoners at Gitmo. I don't get why he keeps getting hired.

Sparking! ZERO has DLC Packs should have expected. 😑

I'll wait when it's on sale for $10 with all DLC in a couple of years. I'm not in a rush although I did originally plan on getting if it wouldn't have DLC... Naive of me.
still a day one for me, they did confirm that we're getting local play and the what if scenerios look awesome.
