Hacking Simple question: How can I watch Netflix and such with CFW

I have REBUG CFW and my version is 4.78. It asks for a system update any time I try to connect to psn and you obviously need psn to log in to netflix. Any way around this? I read up on PSNpatch but idk if that's exactly what I need or not

I'm already on the latest which is 4.78.2

there's a 480.1 on rebug site, upgrading is easy.. make sure you have no disc in and put the rebug update on a usb sick or sd and usb adapter, in the correct folder. Then just update from the dash and choose update from usb device when prompted

Aha i see. It wasn't in the downloads section so I thought I had the latest. Is there a chance to get banned if you don't use PSNpatch?

Can't say for sure, but I've been ok the few times I've been on. I think it's only the cheaters who get banned.

There's 3 options.
1.) nodrm pkg for netflix
2.) psnpatch and actually go online
3.) QA flag(qa flag your console, then enter fake info when it asks you to sign in)

I've been "online" with me PS3 for years on Rebug.
Granted, I never played a game online nor did I play GTA 4/GTA 5/any AC game/any COD game, but I have bought and browsed the PSN store a few times and I haven't been banned yet.

Just update your console to the latest Rebug and download the Netflix app.
Just sign into Netflix and you'll be done.

Yeah, I've been going online for 6 years with mine, starting on KMEAW 3.55, and as long as you don't launch homebrew or do stupid shit online, you shouldn't get banned.

I've got a dummy account for launching Multiman/showtime and just a PSN account for playing games.

Umm.. I don't feel comfortable to enter fake info because its not honest things to do.

It just boots you out of login with a dns error, then allows you to proceed.
