if you read through the op you should manage minus the sysupdater a page or two back you need the 9.2 update from a 3ds site maybe for isos as well as either homehax, ninjhax to open sysupdater
wat.

Just PM me a link. I tried to google what the OP told us to google but i got nothing.

I read somewhere:

Update the sysNAND --> sysUpdater (only works with rxTools' devmode, Pasta without firmlaunch and PBT CFW or it will result in a brick)

So this means I can't simply:

1> Open NiB N3DS XL Hyrule Edition (Assuming it is on 10.3.0).
2> Set OOTHAX (Set to NEW 10.3.0) on another modded 3DS.
3> Follow this guide using my OOT cartridge as an entry point.

?

That's for official sysupdater who runs under stable kernel exploit for <9.3 firmware.

Downgradin for firmware >9.2 runs on new unstable ARM11 kernel exploit via memchunkhax2,

So use OOTHAX to run sysupdater version made by @julian20 on page 91 or page 95 (whichever version you find have better boot rate for your 3DS).

thanks. i found a youtube clip and his sysupdater doesn't show arm 11 kernel exploit like my previous screen. he was able to get the cia's to load by replacing the dbs files in the nintendo 3ds folder on the sd card. i tried doing so, but i received an error message "title exception: main cpp:148: Result: 0xD8E08067 failed to get CIA file info!"

View attachment 35994

so i searched ithe message on google and someone with the exact same message was using a mac to get the files instead of windows. someone who responded to that thread stated that mac has hidden files that could cause the cia's not to load. he tried deleting those hidden files but it still didnt work. he later used windows and was able to get his 3ds downgraded.

below is the youtube video and the site i found in regards to using windows instead of a mac for anyone having the same issue that can test it. i will have to try to get the files at a friend's place who has windows because i'm on a mac. so hopefully this will solve the problem. i won't be able to test it until the weekend the earliest.

just to confirm, i downgraded my old 3ds. anyone with a mac will need to download the CIA files from a PC as mac will add hidden files to it and wont let the CIA files load.

my 3dsxl on 9.9U keeps freezing on this scree. im using oothax

Hi. I've downgraded, but I can't launch homebrew... Also, do I need to delete the updates folder and the old 3ds folder at the end? I'm new to this whole thing...

welcome to the cool kids table
ok so you now have a 9.2 console with the homebrew payload for 10.3 (or whatever you were on) you need to reinstall your homebrew entry point The Homebrew Launcher - 3DS you can use browserhax Nintendo 3DS web-browser exploits to do so

and i would not delete the update folder yet. . . first see if the downgrade was complete https://github.com/ihaveamac/downgrade-check/releases
the 3ds folder itself keep it

btw if this is a n3ds you can use this guide [Tutorial] How-to install a CFW on a 9.0-9.2 N3DS without CN/OOT or [Tutorial] Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for rxTools CFW, including emuNAND, coldboot, cia Manager for cfw
and if its a o3ds use this guide [Tutorial] Installing rxTools Custom Firmware - (Old 3DS and 2DS)

So keep all the files, then homebrew it, then check if the downgrade was complete (should I use the one they suggest to use instead? And if the downgrade is complete, delte the updates folder?

Thanks! That was really helpful! :)

So... I assume it's fine if I follow this guide's instructions (With just using OOT)? https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-more-or-less-catch-all-tutorial.407080/

Guys heads up! after downgrading make sure to run this https://github.com/svanheulen/downgrade_check/releases
My N3ds didn't seem to downgrade correctly
Have you been able to install emuland?

Have you been able to install emuland?
Haven't check mine with this tool, but been able to update my emuland on n3ds to 10.4 without problems. I will check this tonight to see if my sysnand is 100% legit.

I keep getting a black screen trying to boot up Sysupdater

Do I have to change entry point, delete files before restarting it or what??
