Relapse PS5 kernel exploit brings homebrew to firmware 7.00-13.60
The PlayStation 5 scene has received a massive breakthrough with the public release of Relapse, a new exploit chain developed by Nathan Fargo in collaboration with Sonic ISO and other prominent scene developers.
The exploit targets firmware versions 7.00 all the way up to 13.60 across original, Slim, and Pro console models. This release drastically improves loading times for newer firmwares (above 12.00), dropping wait times down to just a few seconds compared to older, slower methods.
- Supported Firmware: 7.00 – 13.60 (Firmware 14.00 and above remain unexploited).
- Execution: Utilizes a browser-based entry point combined with a kernel exploit chain to grant kernel read/write access.
- Payloads: Initial hosting variants support essential tools including Kstuff, Shadow Mount Plus, and ETA-HEN for running homebrew and game backups.
- Please note: the exploit is temporary meaning a full system reboot requires re-running the exploit .
