I had the same problem!
But I figured this out:
There is a crucial step you missed probably (I missed it myself too) - "6. edit out https info in /etc/config/uhttpd"
Remove the https lines (3 lines)... so your ZSUN will only listen on port 80/http
And the video will work after that.

You don't have to do this again from the beginning.
After playing game, close it and run again Miimaker - this will open again HBL/Loadiine (it may crash though occasionally)
The hack stays permanent until next WiiU reboot

Do you edit out https in uhttpd by logging in through Winscp...or...through the web interface? Thanks in advance!

So, is there a device that exists that can just sit next to the wiiU, host its own network and hold its own files? Like a router that can host a site with editable memory? That would be amazing. Just connect the wiiU to a separate wifi network that is literally just for the wiiU.

Yes, and it is openwrt! ZSUN is the answear!
You can take WiiU on the go, to a friend, whatever... and everything is always with you, no hassle to worry for blocking updates, etc.

So it works for ez share wifi cards up to 5.5.1 now?

Because its NOT working for me.

Ah, sorry for you man.
But everyone here is meaning ZSUN not ez share...

I see there is another page for ez share here, maybe this helps you
https://gbatemp.net/threads/loadiine-self-hosted-on-ezshare-wifi-micro-sd-card-adapter.404978/

The thing is that you can flash openwrt on ZSUN and it's customizable like every openwrt device.
With EZ SHARE I guess it might be not that easy, but check the other topic anyway

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
