Tried it without the patch, doesn't seem like my IEDGE can handle this game as it still crashed. Which is weird since it handled the first game perfectly fine. Either that or I've got a buggy ROM.

Congrats on the release Nagato, excellent job!
I am trying the game on CycloDS / DSL, works just fine but I have a bug:
As soon as you have the message saying" press SELECT to access the TS menu", I tried it, selected "LOAD" and the game black screened/crashed.
I'm going to try it on GW blue card..

That's the kind of thing that I was running into on my CycloDS with both the unpatched and patched ROMs. Do you think you could also try the unpatched ROM with your CycloDS to verify if it's the patch or just the game? If so, that would be helpful.

For the record, it works perfectly fine on my blue card, so that should hopefully work for you too.
Sure, I'll try. It seems like AP indeed..
It crashed (black screen) again after TS said "Transmission complete Yuuto > (my name)" and the left screen said "seven days left"..
I wonder if patching with Dicastia-Patch.exe could help..

Cool Nagato, crossing fingers.
From the gamecity999 link, it says:
0006EACD:0C→36
0007C4DE:7A→7B

But i have resepectively 0F and 1F at those offsets in the patched version.
I guess these changes need to be made on the untrimmed original rom first, and then patch..?

Edit: the discatia app patches the following:
4133 - Nanashi no Game Me [930C4A47]
0007C386: 0C → 36
0007C4DE: 7A → 7B

2nd offset is the same, but not the 1st for some reason..

Here's the patch for the translated The_Nameless_Game_Eye.nds:
00153382: 0C -> 36
001534DA: 7A -> 7B

Try that?

Edit: I uploaded a v1.1 patch to include the AP patch. From my limited testing, it works again on my CycloDS where it would crash before. I completely thought it was something else wrong with the card since I have no memory at all of patching my ROM when I played it in Japanese years ago.

Please update if you are having trouble with flashcards! @TheShadowRunner and @rayjay

Yes Nagato, patching these 2 bytes seem to be doing the trick on Cyclo ;D
It didn't crash at all since (and passed the 2 crashes I had prior to patching without issues).
Great stuff ^^

Edit: saved properly and resumed without issues too.
Do you plan to rename the internal rom name to "Nanashi no Gemu Me"?
It's currently the same as the original jpn rom.

I mean built in sound on mobo's has gotten way better but still XP handled sound better and X-Fi was still better than onboard audio even to this day

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

Oh boy Massdrop has $1100 IEMs. Want, but not at that price lmao. https://drop.com/buy/campfire-audio-andromeda-emerald-sea-iem

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200

My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
