Extract Super Smash Bros. Brawl Save File from Wii (for Dolphin)?

I tried using SaveGame Manager GX on my Wii to export my Super Smash Bros. Brawl save file using the "Compress" option, but every time I attempt it I get a "Exception (DSI) Occurred" error and then a bunch of hex addresses. The "Extract" option works, but this produces multiple files, none of which Dolphin can import. I have this same issue with "PokePark 2" and "ThruSpace", but I did not run into this problem for any of the 30 or so other games I compressed.

Someone else appears to have had the same issue here, but received no response:

Any idea what the issue is? How can I export my SSBB save from the Wii and get it into Dolphin?

    Starfield is cool, I got bored w it tho, too many running around missions. Like one I remember was getting someone a cafe drink from another planet. Silly. Gun play is smooth tho.

    I always had troubles docking to space stations also, ended up crashing most time.

    Prob something simple I wasn't doing right, I never look it up, just avoided going to space stations, only visitied planets.

    Yea no fast travel was the worst, but worlds not that big atleast.

    One great thing about Wukong was the World Map, thankfully they added it at the same time the ps5 physical release came out.

    I been enjoying going back n playing Far Cry 5 game+, lets you keep stats and gear from previous game, but start over new w harder difficulty. Still one my favorite games.
