Im pretty sure this is a Mocha related problem. I remember having this issue a few weeks ago when I tried installing the WupinstallerGX channel on sysnand while using the latest Mocha fat32 compiled build. Going back to the latest Mocha official release (No fat32 support) and installing the channel on the usb drive (Wii USB not Fat32) solved both the 199-9999 and the channel not starting problems.

there are two version of Wup Installer gx2, a elf one to load throught HBL, and an installable package to install throught the elf, then usable as a channel on a CFW

Thanks! Is there any difference in the HBL and CFW version in terms of functionality?? I want to install Zelda BOTW with the HBL Version of WUP Installer GX2. Should it work?

Custom channels can't be launched without a CFW... but no differences between two versions.
off cource, you can install with the hbl version on legit firmware if you have the original title.tik or on CFW if you have a fake signed title.tik

Sorry I'm new to this but what kind of USB external HDD format does this support? Does making multiple partition work for this?

I read that you can install games to external USB and it should be faster than loadline. (BoTW has loading time issues with)

Thanks.

ok, this app support only the wiiu usb format, and i think (not sure) that doesn't support multiple partitions.
but if you have 13Go free space on the internal memory, you can install BotW in nand ;)

oh so I'm guessing I use the WiiU itself to format my ext HDD if I don't have enough space? Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm having a bit of trouble, I keep getting a 0xFFFCFFE9 device failed (no USB storage attached?) error. I'm using a 64 GB flash drive. I had everything working with the same WiiU and SD card so I assume it couldn't be those giving me issues.

Hi, you MUST format your HDD from Wii U and than install games with Wup Installer.
And most of apps need to run under Permanent Custom Firmware like Haxchi or you must load something to Sign and Patch Firmware when needed.

For example a preparation like illustrated in this video is needed for a Custom Firmware.

Hope this helps.

Hi, maybe you don't have Formatted you External USB from Wii U.
For the moment there are no way to Install things over external USB with standard FAT32 / NTFS mode or multipartition.

Hi guys, is there a way to update/create a new version of Wup installer wich support Wiimote and/or Pro controller? Wii u gamepad are fragile and hard to replace and I'm stuck since Wiimote/pro controller is not supported. I tried with The HID to VPAD but freeze your wup installer (all versions) gx2, 1.0 and 1.3 ; even the Wiiu usb helper transfer tool elf, I dońt know what to do!!

It doesn't boot. I get a pop up with error code 199-9999 and it forces me to shut down my console.
Running Haxchi CFW. What am I doing wrong?

Launching it from HBL works perfectly.

Is it installed on NAND or USB? And do you have a Nintendo formatted USB plugged in or not?
To NAND. Yes a WFSU formatted USB stick is plugged in. Would removing it while installing the channel fix it?
As a long time Loadiine (or WUP to sysNAND) user I'm kinda new to USB. Would it do me any harm to pull off the drive before boot and stick it in again before my next boot?
Is the Wii U just checking whether a drive is connected on boot and lists the games? Don't wanna mess around.

I mean built in sound on mobo's has gotten way better but still XP handled sound better and X-Fi was still better than onboard audio even to this day

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol

    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds

I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection

    how is wireless charging possible?

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
