Hacking [Release] rxTools - Roxas75 3DS Toolkit [fw 2.0 - 9.2]

1 - how can i see what version of RxTools do i have

3 - ive tried to inject FBI into my sysnand home and health, and ended up with dissapearing home and health. What gives?

1) You don't. Other than checking the MD5 or SHA or whatever, but those aren't listed anywhere for you to check.

2) Delete all of your rxTools related files and put the new files on your SD?

3) Forget about doing it with rxTools. Not only will it not be fixed, but the feature was removed anyway. Use decrypt9 for that.

I need some help getting the latest stable nightly to work, the one posted on the release page. I used cdn_firm.py and it downloaded a firmware.bin file. My problem is I don't know where this goes. I'm WAY too used to using nightlies that I forgot how to use older rxtools.

It's Nightly build 83afbb6

there is no firmware.bin file anymore on nightly build.
Your build should be old.
If you use the Stable 3.0 beta 2 you have a n3ds_cdn_firm.py or an o3ds_cdn_firm.py.
Be sure to read the quickstart guide pdf file.

Thanx a lot ! Now rxtools works with a9lh !!!! I installed rxtools on emunand 9.2 (didn't work in sysnand 10.6), then used the arm9loaderhax.bin I managed somehow to compile earlier. Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, the nightly I'm talking about uses firmware.bin. I too confused it and used the firm folder that nightlies use now.

Because, it's the last stable nightly for O3DS. The 3.0 Beta 2 release was something that helped N3DS users, so I never saw a reason for O3DS users to have to use that.

This is how I use rxtools:

o3DS = last stable nightly from the release page

N3DS = 3.0 Beta 2 from the release page

I've encountered a weird situation.

On Pokemon Clear red 2DS JPN, downgraded to sysnand 9.2J, emunand on 10.6
Rxtools 3.0 beta 2 (and latest nightly) indicates that "emunand" not found,
however Gateway is able to run on emunand. (both nands unlinked, hence the difference is obvious for me).
I've tried using the latest nightly, and the same issue occured.

Basically, RXtool does not want to acknowledge that I have an emunand,
while it continues to work for Gateway.

I have never experienced this issue on my O3DS XL or N3DS LL,

only on the 2DS T.T

But, I have rxtools 2.6 that uses the browser exploit to acess the rxTools.dat and I have about 4 sites in case some of them are down, but still I'm constantly worried if there is a chance that these sites someday will be down, like, for good? I'm thinking about donwgrading my o3ds to 4.5 to use the MSET exploit.

That's the 9-28 build; it is stable for O3DS users, as you said. The firmware.bin goes in the root of the SD card.

Rxtools have changed a lot of time since 9-28. And latest nightly works perfectly on O3DS.
Why not just updating it an enjoy rather than use a really old build that nobody remember how it worked ?

What threw me off was when my friend used the 3.0 Beta 2 release on his o3ds, the data installation suite kept freezing. So Im like ugh lets just use the last o3ds nightly build.
