Would you like to see documentation on how to make patches like this in the future?

Correct. If the interest is big enough, I'll patch the event for other languages, too.
I won't be playing the other languages (besides maybe the Japanese versions and of course the English versions), but this is something I think people would love to come across in their games, myself included.

French would be pretty interesting.
And for Gold/Silver, did you have switched to the official patch?
Because your patchs had a big bug in local battle (nothing to report with trades, though).

Edit : This one
One thing again.
So, I tried with a friend (Him: SilverFrench vs Me: CrystalFrench)
I see him, he see me. Battle start.
I see his team. But not him.
For him, I have 6 Tauros (Some Frozen (Idk about the english name, in French is Gel/Gelé)), and level 50~200.
WTF ?
Our both N3DS are 11.1 with Luma and A9LH
Edit: I tried trading and it work as intended

Yeah, I switched to the official ones since it makes more sense and it's even less to correct. Weird, for the german and english versions, battling worked fine for me. Maybe I set the wrong bytes or switched up the offset lines for the french versions back then...

If anyone is wanting to patch celebi into English Crystal after injecting it to Gold/Silver here's the patch you will need to place in the corresponding patch file, credits go to whomever created the celebi fix ips patch to the original gbc rom, i merely just found the hex changes and patched it.

Just thought i'd share because i wanted this for myself as well, given how easy it is to patch the GS ball event though i think it's highly likely that if nintendo does release crystal they may apply the same patch which would be awesome if they did.

I agree. Though considering that shiny Celebi has been tradeable over wi-Fi in Gen 7 for a good while now, I'm almost positive they will; else why would they have removed the shiny lock? Though they did the same for Victini and Keldeo so I'm still on the fence as to the reasoning Lol.

The event is in the international games, it was just never released.

The Mobile Game Boy Adapter was only ever released in Japan, which was required to unlock the Celebi event in Japan.
But in English Crystal there's no special Pokemon Center at Goldenrod City, how does this patch trigger the event then?
