HMm how come when i try patch it. the patch is sucesfull but my pathced version is still the 98.6 one... btw ive dlded the newest patcher..There are no real version numbers, just release days.
Do you mean the file is 98.6MB? If so, that's fine.

We really aren't changing the total size of the ROM, we're just replacing characters from Japanese to English.
Sometimes we use more characters (a small increase) and other times we use less (a small decrease) so it ends up being more or less even in the end. Also, all games are padded to 1mb, 2mb, 4mb, 8mb, 16mb, 32mb, 64mb, 128mb, 256mb, 1024mb or 2048mb. Ragnarok DS is 1024mb or 128MB(1024/8) when padded. The patch will automatically trim the padding from the file and shrink it down in size.

with your translation % for each chapter as listed in the first post. it has a low percentage and next to it it says completed. will percentages not be updated from now on? just when each chapter is complete/translated?The Translation % progress is a very sloppy way of showing our complete percentage, but it works.

I took the original, untranslated text files. Selected all the files in a chapter and got the total size for each group.
Then put all the information I had in a psudo-table and added file sizes up
I then added up the total size of all chapters and converted it into a percent (( / ) * 100) and threw them into the table as well.
When a chapter's translation and editing process is complete, I add the files to the current patch and will mark the chapter as *DONE*, adding the chapters % to the total % Done on the bottom.
It is in no way meant to be a 'live' update, nor a terribly accurate one, but since some of the chapters are really short and others really long, I felt it was a good way for us as well as you to have a numerical representation of what is done.

That percentage is the amount of text in that chapter relative to the entire script. 3.6/220.0 = 1.64%.

After a very long hiatus in order to play iRO valkyrie (haha I'm now a 93 paladin bish's) I might get around to doing some work.

A lot of things have been crashing me in the latest version such as the scripts for stories and the descriptions for items. I've also seen some items have like.. half their sentences cut off, or just don't make any sense in english, so I might get around to fixing those.

I'm going to be going around the files correcting any grammatical errors and what not later today, hopefully it'll be less rough-around-the-edges than it is at the moment. >_>

Haha, after playing for like a year on high rate private servers, playing RO on the DS feels so tiresome...xD Like 10 minutes of playing and i gain like 1 level.

I'm Playing a Mage, and i have no problems with the quest window, so it could just be the Swordsmans Class. I'll make a new game, and see if i get the same.

Dunno if you guys already know this, but when you go into the Quest Menu and then goes back, the game freezes.
I dont know if this only happens to me, cuz i use R4DS last version (1.18)

Anyway, i hope i helped >.
