Recently bought a flash cart from http://nds-card.com/index.asp and I'm wondering if this is a common issue or maybe I got a bit of a dud.
The pin contacts on the bottom of the cart aren't ribbed like a normal DS gamecard and they actually shift up and down if you put abit of pressure on them. I also noticed that it affects the micro-sd inserted in the top of the card too. If I push up on the contacts, the mSD with shift slightly upwards.
I noticed all this pretty quickly after opening it, but it really hasn't proved to be a problem until tonight. Basically, freezing, lots of freezing. I'm guessing the act of inserting the flashcard into the DS is shifting the contacts upwards and making it very easy for the card to lockup. I tested it by putting abit of pressure on the top of the card with my finger while playing and more often than not I can cause a crash that way. This is in contrast to a legit game card, where I have to push all the way down and get it to physically release from the DS console in order to cause a crash. I've included afew pics.
So, have any of you had a similar issue? Do the contacts on your flashcarts move when you touch them?
