I use Linux that didn't cost me 1 cent on old shit laptop that costed me next to nothing, I have a lot of fun with it, surf the web, play games, edit my carts, it does all I want it to, are you telling me I don't deserve to surf the net etc...because I did not want to buy a new laptop with Windows 7??!!

Nothing wrong with old cheap carts as long as it does what you need, even better if it has unofficial opensource support (like linux) In fact the reason I use Acekard is not because of Acekard its because of Akaio. If there were no Akaio I would not own 4 Acekards.

If you are so poor, why do you buy a DS?

Not paying $35 for something I don't need doesn't make me poor. I bought the R4 pretty much when it came out. I haven't bought a new cart since my R4 still works perfectly and does everything I need it to do.

Indeed. Someone needs to get down off that high horse. If someone just wants to do the more basic and do it for cheap, then why is the R4DS a bad option?

If you don't like it, leave it be. I prefer Acekard and Cyclo to R4, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying my R4 w/ Wood. It's very cool that the R4 is very affordable and has nice firmware. Of course it's limited since it's an older cart, but for its age, and the awesomeness that is Wood, it has gotten a second chance at life. That's a good thing. Let go of the hate.

And to be honest, even without Wood at the moment, r4 is not doing too bad.
I still use YSmenu and could play all the major release without any problem (Pokemon, Smt, Sonic racing, Warioware, Infinite space, Zelda, Mario&Luigi)
