If it runs it means you can download stuff...

I think you don't understand what I'm saying.

I got to the exact same page as the video did.
However when I went to click on an update (say pokemon, for example), the picture I showed appeared.

What would help, is you take another video, but leading up to the part where you install something.

Man, he's right. Can't actually download anything, but at least we have a fighting chance. If someone figures this out, maybe they can figure out in game too.

Smea answered "No" to the question "Should we be worried?", so I'm guessing he has another ace up his sleeve.
Well, even if Smea said we don't have to be worried, I think we can be. Nintendo apparently patched the exploit / vuln / check / idk just a week after the HANS release (they have never been so fast, iirc it took them like 2 or 3 weeks just to remove Ironfall from the eshop...). And since it is very likely NOT something we can patch (permanently) on our side, even if Smea has other solutions, it might not last really long. We really need to find another reliable method here.

Well, it's loading indefinitely for me.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Works totally fine in my other 3DS, though.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can even download!

Ironfall was actually removed before Ironhax even got released.

Well, I know that, but iirc IronHax was released a lot of time after its announcement...
EDIT : Actually, just checked, and it was released 17 days after announcement.
Damn, it seemed like months to me. Oh well. This is probably how hype feels :P

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
