First, big Thanks for this new release!

But I encountered these bugs so far (on PAL 3.2E, cIOScorp, PreLoader 0.28, CrazyIntro):

- if I enable "Force Disc Region" none of my games will load, neither originals nor backups. My Wii just freezes (no signal on TV), Wii-Motes disconnect and I've got to hold On/Off on the console to turn it off.
No need for this. You can remove this hack completely for PAL.

@IlluminiX:
Mate you seems to be right!
I reported my 'Move the Disc Channel' hack not to be working and after reading you post, i checked my hacks.ini file and guess what... this hack is the last in the list.
Nice bug report, hope Crediar will fix this in a next release.
Till then, we can add an extra dummy line to our ini file.

@Don Killah - Thanks for confirming - And, you just stole (!!!) what I was going to suggest which is to stick something you don't want to have enabled as your last entry in the hacks.ini (I did this and all entries above it "seem" to work).

I'm suggesting it right now to m-tek for the next release of his GUI Hacks.ini Creator ^^
This way we'll have a work around till Crediar fixes this little bug.

I don't know why it pleases me that I found this bug, but for some reason it does! I have been casually testing beta software for so long, but never found anything glaring - or at least I don't remember anything that I reported. I posted this on the Wiibrew Preloader Wiki page so hopefully, Crediar will hear about it soon.

Why would you need that?

Recovery mode aint possible anymore. Unless there's a hack for it

how do i autoboot zelda in recovery with preloader as holding y on gc pad not working

preloader can't do the recovery menu
and it's not even necessarry. you can boot directly into hbc to fix a brick

From 0.4 of the hack.ini creator - I see m-tek already squashed the bad last line bug by putting in a blank line at the end of it. Much cleaner than putting in a dummy hack at the end.

Is it difficult to make a system menu patch for loading backups from disk channel?
This was brought up in another topic, as we have waninkokos system menu patcher source which shows the patches it makes to system menu.

Which of the Softmii-Preloader mod makes the backups showup and load from the game channel? and Will if interfere with my modchip getting 6x speed when i load a game if i leave the softmod installed?

...Use the f****** S-E-A-R-C-H:
Maybe for: SoftMii?

@OSW: I realy don't hope it's difficult...I hope someone will be able to do this soon, and release it...I just don't get Waninkoko...why he hadn't made that Permanent...?

Yep that could be a good idea to have those hacks.
I guess he's working on it with his new cIOS (rev8?)

Yeah, nothing agianst cIOS rev8 (which is currently only a rumor, I think), but until he'll releases that, I think cSM will be out, with all these patches that he'll integrate in rev8...the Preloader/Menupatcher-Thing would be only here to wait a little better for cSM...just a temporaray soloution, you know? So it would be great if someone would do this soon

You could patch the system menu to use a cIOS (eg 249) but not without issues:
1) if that cIOS got deleted either by you or by a Nintendo update then you'd be semi-bricked
2) it wouldn't help you with games that require a specific IOS in order to play

If you're not bothered about 2) then its simpler to install just IOS 30 from the cIOSCorp pack

But that won't give us the Region-Free and the other patches from MenuPatcher, I think..and why IOS 30? This does nothing enable, as far I know...And: Preloader/menupatcher would be easier to uninstall (Hack Remover, System WAD)

Region Free etc are all in Preloader. You'd install IOS30 as this is the IOS used by the system menu therefore installing a patched IOS30 would make the system menu use the custom DIP which lets you see backups in the disc channel....

Also, I've got a tool that lets you patch any System Menu wad so that it will use the IOS (or cIOS) of your choice. It appears to work if you tell it to patch to IOS 249....

Have you looked at the source for menupatcher? The only patches I see are... region free, update check, no copy saves, and an IOSReload patch.

No real clue about what IOS Reload does. I've only seen it in the PAL hacks.ini floating around.

edit: Don't you have to run menupatcher every time you want disc loading via the disc channel? afaik it just patches the sysmenu in memory, so changes are not kept after a power on/off cycle.

Mhm...then we only need to find out how he patches the menu...(because the others already exists..)

As I get this right, it patches something for the game, NOT the Systemmenu.

And that's the reason why I want that Preloader can safe the Patches (via hacks.ini) permanent.

Like WiiCrazy/fishears said: There's a Menu with patched to use IOS249, but then acessing the SD-Card don't work...so this would be better...maybe we should ask Waninkoko himself..he's in the Custom MIOS rev02 and MenuPatcher v1.1 released! Thread right now...(looking for Testers for cMIOS v2.1
