I've only checked timer removal right now. Checking Areas 31 and 32 right now.And 31 / 32 are opened right?

The post has been updated. I've credited you for helping me with this.Good, figured the inner workings completely now ^^
Hmm you say "Now, if you want to play all 30 Areas instantly, then in Offset (h) in Columns 01-04 just put the values FF in each column. "The post has been updated. I've credited you for helping me with this.
Our Hex Editor method does open all 30 Areas for playing. It doesn't screw up Areas 20-24. Why yes, it does unlock only the 1st puzzle in every area, but you can unlock all the stages.Hmm you say "Now, if you want to play all 30 Areas instantly, then in Offset (h) in Columns 01-04 just put the values FF in each column. I'm not entirely certain about that, that's what the cheat from dsrules does and it seems to screw up around Area 24, at least it did here..
I'm confused how OPENING the Areas exactly works still, there seem to be something we're missing / at odds.
not sure if citra save is compatible with gateway saves .savHow about i'll post here my savefile? It has 30 areas unlocked, 157 characters unlocked and areas 31 and 32 locked.
I didn't get that here. But maybe because I didn't start a new game from scratch..Our Hex Editor method does open all 30 Areas for playing. It doesn't screw up Areas 20-24. Why yes, it does unlock only the 1st puzzle in every area, but you can unlock all the stages.
Well that's certainly strange. I just did the same thing and I have all 30 Areas. Maybe you should try Columns 01-05? Not stopping at 04?I didn't get that here. But maybe because I didn't start a new game from scratch..
I'm at stage 16, and when I did open all 30 stages by setting FF there, 17-23 were closed, 24 alone was opened (wtf), and the rest closed.
Honestly I won't bother as i want to play the game legit (not open Areas in advance) and we're good with the current findings.Well that's certainly strange. I just did the same thing and I have all 30 Areas. Maybe you should try Columns 01-05? Not stopping at 04?
Okay, I'll try that way. I just got used to Columns.Honestly I won't bother as i want to play the game legit (not open Areas in advance) and we're good with the current findings.
Btw speaking of hexediting in columns-style is confusing as hell, you better be using offsets xD
could you upload that savefile? How about i'll post here my savefile? It has 30 areas unlocked, 157 characters unlocked and areas 31 and 32 locked.
I've actually just unlocked Areas 31 and 32 by Hex Editing, so... sorry. But still, here ya go. If you need one with Areas 31 and 32 locked, I'll try to lock them.could you upload that savefile?

P.S. I managed to lock Areas 31 and 32. Here ya go.
ive never done hex editing but isnt there information missing as to what exact Offset (h) row i have to do the changes in? the edit right before with the timer has the rows in question mentioned but for the Area 31 and 32 unlocks its missing. In Offset (h) in Column 04 put the value 80. Next is Area 32. In Offset (h) in Column 05 put the value 01.
Hi, i tried applying this, and it seems to mostly work, except that I cannot push Start to "Jump" between areas, i can only transition to area 2 using the button on the far right side of Area 1. I will report on what happens when i get to the end of area 2, but it's not letting me even go into area 2 without first going through area 1.For unlocking Area31 & 32 done legitly, this is the procedure:
--
Unlock 31 & 32
At byte EAF
Add 80h to whatever value you have there (e.g. if yours is 00h, then just set it to 80h, if yours is 1Fh, then set it to 1Fh + 80h = 9Fh)
Go to EB0, set it to 01
--
Open 31 & 32
Go to EB4
Add 80h to whatever value you have there like above
Go to EB5, set it to 01
--
So if we combine this with purchasing the kupo fruit; Ie for a person starting the game who just wants 31 & 32 accessible and the timers gone, the following is needed:
FF to bytes EAC - EB0
80 for EBA
01 for EB5
