PICOFLY ИX module (verified)

Use easyeda PRO

The CPU cable will be released later
The resistor uses 0402 and is not recommended for novice welding
The circuit board is 0.8mm thick

V0.8.1+ supports jumpers, V1 V2 LITE OLED universal
Have you considered adding the 1010 ws2812b C5349953 ? I gave it a check and fits no problem. It's also compatible with PCBA from jlc. Fully assembled it should come at about 90 dollars for 5 boards.

BTW I get multiple stray tracks where the fill region should be and slightly unconnected ones elsewhere.

for example
i want to resolder the point, i need clean old lead.
is it safe to use solder wick

im afraid it will broke the pad point
Its okay to use solder wick.
If you haven't experience on using solder wick, maybe use dummy board as practice first is safer.

The mistake i usually do when using solder wick is, sometimes the pad is connected to a (Heat) Sink, so it cools faster than usual (the hand reflex to move the wick as usual). When it already cooled and the wick soldered to the pad, don't move the wick mechanically, because the force will be transfered to the pad as a shear force which will tear the pad off the board. Only move the wick in a melted tin condition.

The second thing is about the temperature. The thermal expansion of copper pad and the board have a different rate (different thermal coefficient) an it become a shear force between them. It is unavoidable, the more time you heat it up, the more the bond between it broke. Usually using 300 deg C will broke the pad if exceed 60sec. The normal time i use is 300 deg C for 5-10 sec, then wait a couple seconds to slowly cool down, then continue.

Blue Green but OFW, i experience this. The problem is there is a mold of tin that lying around in the pico board (i am in a hurry when install it, two week ago is a big holiday for me, so i need to mod it ASAP). The junk tin short-circuit-ed some part of the pico board (Its around the D0, CMD, CLK). Take out the junk tin and its work again.

Try to check using Continuity test to check maybe theres some SC occured.

Have you considered adding the 1010 ws2812b C5349953 ? I gave it a check and fits no problem. It's also compatible with PCBA from jlc. Fully assembled it should come at about 90 dollars for 5 boards.

You can modify it yourself ;)

What are the proper reading in each point?
It needs to be tried, and the situation is different for different EMMCs

Empty wires in the filled area need to be retained, otherwise they will not be connected after filling
The filling area is copper-paved

Good morning everyone! Can er tell me a good soldering iron, the solder wire, the correct wires for soldering on the right points and the flux, suitable for installing picofly? I have a person who would do the picofly install but doesn't have everything needed (except the technique). I tried to install myself picofly but with bad results because I used tools that didn't help me and I would like to provide everything I need.

Thanks!
Microscope is a must. I prefer HDMI microscope, but cheap microscope also work.

Almost any solder station in aliexpress is good. I use an old version of solder station like this:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005196888069.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.1daf6008k0M2MH&algo_pvid=2fda4d9d-9430-4d5f-b9ab-1b3e7f20e3ae&algo_exp_id=2fda4d9d-9430-4d5f-b9ab-1b3e7f20e3ae-1&pdp_npi=3@dis!IDR!1457113.0!713986.0!!!!!@212240a316832038973922156d0787!12000032095210645!sea!ID!3430123615&curPageLogUid=pCqE5eVGX537

The point is the temperature can be controlled, compatible with standard Hakko tips such as T12 etc, and the firmware could control the temperature until 400 degrees C. I already used it for like 5 years. If i would buy again, i might buy Pine64 because its from open source community.

Solder Wire mosfet, 3.3v, Gnd, >0.2mm, the rest >0.1mm. Prefer enameled wire for all except 3.3v and GND.

Any cheap flux in aliexpress is working, Usually i prefer mechanics or mijing.

Northridgefix sell a high quality tool and utility, but its not cheap. I usually search in aliexpress which is similar.

Know what would be nice if someone uploaded free schematics for the rp2040 flex cable (just like the board on github), so that we can use use places like jlcpcb or whoever else and order them cheaper and quicker

@SQCseems to have uploaded .zip to his repo for the flex cable, the emmc folder is for what?
