For everyone that's trying to run this on the R4, and tried all the current solutions like YSauto or installing an older firmware... Try backing up the contents of your card to your hard drive, format your SD card, then drag it back. You will also need to edit/create a new USRCHEAT.dat file with the cheat code editor that came on the CD of the R4. Here's a link to the code in case you missed it: here

For some reason everything else wouldn't make this game run, but formatting enabled it to run and save perfectly fine. Been playing all day and no issues so far!

And I understand I only have one post, but most of the time everyone else handles it before me! Best of luck.

But what I'm saying is that I'm trying to get this to run on an R4 Ultra which supports SDHC... therefore being a clone. So does anyone know if a different procedure is required to getting it to run on this cart?

I don't understand why the cheats refuse to work though... I extracted the CHEAT.DAT from All.zip into my _system_ folder and it says no cheats found (for every game on my cart).

Interestingly enough, when I extract the USRCHEAT.dat nothing comes up when I tap the cheats button or press Y...

But I guess I'll try formatting the card as well. Just don't get what I'm doing wrong for the cheats not to show up. I still can't believe a pre-patched ROM I got still won't work...

PS0 will NOT work on R4Ultra/R4SDHC. They are clone cards and use a custom firmware. You should know this by now if you have one.

PS0 is only playable on true R4s by YSmenu as stated in the first post. YSmenu will not run on R4Ultra/R4SDHC.

Your only option is to wait until the R4Ultra devs create a firmware that bypasses this lockout. 1.52 does not do this.

Help, my game keeps freezing at that screen. I've been playing the same few parts of the game over and over.

If those pictures aren't clear... it's the part with two "gorilla" things, one normal white one, and one red/orange one.

I'm using a real R4 (not one of the clones) with YSmenu. I had to patch the game using dsatm to get past the whitescreen, and now I'm lost as what to do.

well i wanted to test the game before the us edition comes , but it seems that after patching i have the same problem.the game works and loads , but when i create a chara and confirm the creation , nothing happens , the game dosent freeze it just dont move further .

The game appears to work fine in single-player but ad-hoc doesn't seem to work because there are no quests to accept and the teleporter doesn't work, even though people can join the game (maybe this is expected behavior because the characters are brand-new; can someone clarify?)

If we play online, it can't seem to connect to wi-fi at all. Is this an anti-piracy measure? How can we fix it to play ad-hoc and online? Thanks.

You'll end up with the exact same ROM in the end no matter which patch you use.
The reason there is two releases is that XPA's ROM has some junk data cut off.
