The CLANNAD English patch has inspired me to create an English patch for Rewrite, and seeing as there aren't any I thought I would attempt to create one. I have experience with extracting the assets from the PC port of Rewrite, however the PSVita port is much different in its file structure and engine.
The problem comes from how one can go about even opening the asset files themselves. I've managed to open the .pak files using "prot tblpak" which gives me .dat files for CGs, .at3 files for audio (which don't need modifying), and .psb files for what I can assume are the script files (imgscr folder; scr short for script?). I've went through the CLANNAD English patch thread and the Fuwanovel Data Extraction Thread in search of some way to be able to open these and modify the game's scripts, to no avail.
The person who did the CLANNAD English patch seems to be using a tool that allows them to both modify and repack the script files.
Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction? Perhaps I need to make my own tool?
