Hacking NTSC vWii WADs on a PAL machine?

Tried installing NTSC WADs to vWII PAL and it said it can't load? Whats the best way to be play N64 titles on Wii U/vWII at full speed with no dark filter?

My solution was to change the settings on my PAL vWii to use NTSC video. Then you also need a way to bypass the region lockout, either by patching any NTSC WADs you want to use (e.g. using FreeTheWADs) or changing the vWii game region to USA--although doing that will mean your PAL games stop working instead.

Personally, I have my PAL disc games backed up and run them from USB loaders, which bypass the region lockout as well. Similarly, Wii U Wii VC injections don't care about game regions. For WiiWare/VC, I just exclusively use NTSC-U releases. So changing my game region to USA didn't affect how I play my games at all, but if you still use unmodified PAL discs/WADs, you'll have a different experience.

You might get suggestions to use Custom Loader Mod to force NTSC on the specific games you want to run at 480p/60Hz, but that does not work on a Wii U. It was a good solution on original Wii, but Wii U has its own loader which replaces the old Wii one, so loader mods do nothing.

The Wii U will only ever run signed Ancast images unless patched (then unsigned ones will run, but that doesn't matter), and the Wii U side of vWii/Wii VC isn't running any hax, so all vWii stuff has to work with Nintendo's Ancast image built for hooking Wii loaders. Custom Loader Mod isn't compatible with that module, it seems.

The best solution seems to be somehow manually adding support for PAL video modes to the wad, if that's even possible.
