Ok i got the Gioteck GC2 pad to work buy using the nintendont_wiiuprousb file, but the A and B buttons seem to be around the wrong way, like in F-zero GX 'A' on the pad is thrust and 'Y' is boost, this isnt very easy to boost when holding down 'A'. Is there a way to swap these 2 buttons around?

What Version of Nintendont is used for the Wii U Forward on the first page please?

Also how to do get game saves to work, do you need to create a folder somewhere?

a forwarder doesn't have any version.
it's a channel which forward to a boot.dol located on SD card or USB drives.
The version it loads is the one you put on your external device.

To use memory cards, it's a setting you need to enable. "MC Emu" (or Memory Card emulation).
When you enable Memory card emulation, it creates a new, per-game memory card file.
the file is stored on your external devices where your games are located.
    sd:/saves/ or usb:/saves/ <GameID>.raw

Each game will have a new memory card file, so it will ask you to format it the first time you launch a new game.

If you want to use the same card for multiple game, select the option "Multi" option for MC Emulation.
filename will be : ninmem.raw or ninmemj.raw for japanese games.

Have you tried this method on other games that don't load? I'd be interested to know the results.

    Long answer
Did you try to launch nintendont? it asks you to select the device to use, select USB or SD with your controller D-pad up and down, then press A.
When you see the game list, at the top of your screen you will have some texts too, and some of this text tells you "Press B to access the options".
so, at this precise moment: press B to access the option screen. If you press A instead of B, the game where you have the cursor located at will launch and you will not be able to access the option screen anymore. so be very careful to access the option screen correctly. when you access the option screen, you will see text printed on your screen again, this time with different option name. One of the option's name will be "Memory card emulation", press the d-Pad down on your controller multiple times until the cursor telling you which option will be affect by your decision reach the option you want to edit. Press A button on your controller and the option will change, press A again and it will change again until it's back to initial value.
Stop pressing A when you see the text corresponding to the option you would like to use, then press B to go back to the game listing....

Really, users need tutorial to edit an option ?

Do you need me to tell you how to play the game too?

    Short answer:
Launch nintendont and check the options!

Maybe MCE should be in the install instructions as a note or another step? people are too lazy to check other areas of the OP after they install Nintendont

it's too hard to be curious about the B button printed at the top of the screen?
B = option ... I fear pressing B and discover what is hidden there.

People who don't even understand how to read text on screen shouldn't hack their consoles. it's dangerous.

Sorry if it seems harsh, but it's just a button to press. try by yourself.

Yeah sorry, i didnt notice the option at the top of the loader screen the first time i started Nintendont up, i was too excited to load a game :P

Im not sure whats happened but the very first time i tried Nintendont with F-Zero GX it worked flawlessly with my Gioteck GC2 Wireless Controller, but now im trying it again and i cant for the life of me get the pad to sync anymore.

I'll turn the Wii U on and navigate to the Wii channel with the Gioteck pad
Once the system has booted in to Wii mode i use the wiimote to load up the homebrew channel and load Nintendont.
Then i use the Gioteck pad to select the SD card and the game i want to load (pad working fine here)
But as soon as the game starts to load the sync lights on the pad begin to flash or all 4 sync lights will remain on constantly and im unable to re-sync the pad.

If this had happened the first time i would have just put it down to the Gioteck GC2 Wireless Controller not being compatible BUT i know it is as i was play F-Zero with it for about 45 minutes this afternoon.

Any ideas what the issue could be?. The only thing i change was i deleted a channel from the Wii menu and installed the Nintendont Forwarder from the OP. I have tired both loading Nintendont with the forwarder and through The Homebrew channel and i get the same results. Deleting a channel could effect this anyway surely?

    Hey Cyan,

I know this might not be the right place. But up until now, I was using wiiflow exclusively for my Wii games, nintendont on it's own, it was very tedious to update everytime.

Then you introduced loader updating for nintendont, figured why not give it a try so that way at least nintendont will be updated very easily.

All I gotta say is one thing.... WOW, I remember trying it a few years ago when loaders were still new and due to the flow of game selection in wiiflow it's what made it stick with me.

After trying USB LoaderGX, the banner view is honestly amazing, no need to redownload covers, takes much less space on memory card, can auto download nintendont updates. Rock on seriously. I would tweak a bit of the main interface, but seriously amazing. I know it may sound like a big deal for no reason, but for me it's the little that make the difference.

    Thanks for that
