well, there is someone who works on this, he wants to give us a good and practical build, we must have patience. the build is coming but we mustn stress the programmer. till then we can find a practical maping of the buttons, and the easiest way i see is to make a list with the most played gamecube games, (personally i think mario kart double dash is the first) and find a way to ergonomically distribute tha maping to easily play those games.

I really want Wiimote+Nunchuk-Support for Nintendont!
Until now, I don't have any compatible controller so I'm not able to play Gamecube on Wii U -.-
I hope there will be a Downloadable version soon

Why don't y'all just buy some used regular classic controllers? The Wii was very popular, you probably have friends who don't use theirs anymore and will even just give you one. Brand new official ones are kinda expensive, but used ones should be cheap and 3rd party ones are cheap.

In my opinion the most played games are Mario Kart DD and SSBM. I think the X button must be placed near the A button, so you can throw items and do short jumps.
Gamecube B = Wiimote -
Gamecube CStick up = Wiimote d-pad up
Gamecube CStick left = Wiimote d-pad left
Gamecube CStick right = Wiimote d-pad right
Gamecube X = Wiimote d-pad down
Gamecube Y = Wiimote +
Gamecube Z = Nunchuck C
Gamecube Start button = Wiimote Home
Not sure
Gamecube dpad up = Wiimote 1
Gamecube dpad right = Wiimote 2

I like the LightyKD idea too.

  • Gamecube L = Wiimote 1 button
  • Gamecube R = Wiimote 2 button
  • Gamecube A = Wiimote A
  • Gamecube B = Wiimote B
  • Gamecube C-Stick = Hold Nunchuck C + Wiimote d-pad/Nunchuck Analog stick
  • Gamecube analog stick = Nunchuck analog stick
  • secondary Gamecube buttons X & Y =Wiimote - and + buttons
  • secondary Gamecube button Z =Wiimote Z
  • Gamecube Start button = Wiimote home button

The only way I see nunchuck support being an enhancement to nintendont and not just something difficult to control and something other controllers would do much better would be for first person shooters. This would require a controll layout like
  • Gamecube L = Tilt Nunchuck L
  • Gamecube R = Tilt Nunchuck R
  • Gamecube C-Stick = IR from the front of the wiimote (mounted in a gun casing)
  • Gamecube analog stick = Nunchuck analog stick
The buttons need to be configurable because different gun casings use different buttons for firing.
