Hacking New M3DS Real Guide

Can someone help me on changing the skins?? cause i added 2 forlders which named skin 3 and skin 4..and everytime i wanted to use it...it just go back to the default one...what am i doing worng..and i did read the instrctions but it didnt work thanks for the help....!!

you need to name the folders skin3 and skin4, no spaces in the names. also make sure you put them in the system folder and not in the root of the card. If done correctly they should change when selecting them.

Much apologies if this has been answered before, but between work and other stuff going on I have no time to research this kind of stuff

I bought an M3 DS Real cart (card?) and have been playing roms for about a year now. I come here and see this new firmware, Sakura. I am unsure if it will work with my card. Does it? If so, is any formatting needed on my current cart or just delete my current system folder? Thanks for any help and/or advice on getting this up and running. Also, if there are any tricks I should be aware of please do not hesitate to let me know, thanks again all!!!!!!!

Delete and put on

Providing your current firmware saves in the .sav format, if not you will have to rename all your saves.

If it does hang then you will need to backup format and reload. This does sometimes happen. But worth the effort!

Wow, just wow. Thank you so much Kittymat. I followed your instructions by downloading from the link in Toni Plutonij signature, as well as his skin, and everything worked. Albeit I have only tested it with ChronoTrigger, it worked flawlessly. Thank you for your quick reply and helpful information. Kudos go out to Toni as well for his effort.

First off, nice guide. The same as with this user, I initially had a problem adding skins to my M3 DS Real. If you're still maintaining the guide, it would be helpful to add to the section on skins that you need to download skins developed for the M3 Real or M3 DS Real. On some of the sites, you might see R4/M3 but they won't work because the files are different. You'll notice that the R4/M3 has far fewer files for a skin than what's required which will not work. Thanks!

what do you mean?

if you mean the actual time then change it from your DS setup menu (take the m3 real out and boot the ds)

I had a Harvest Moon rom that I couldn't get to work. I thought it was because of an intro that was on it, but it worked fine when I loaded it into DeSmuMe. My boyfriend hadn't suggested Download Play (hitting Y instead of Start) and I had no clue what it was, I'm relatively new to using flashcarts for all I've played roms on an emulator before. When I read the guide, I figured, hey it's worth a shot to try, and lo and behold, it works!
