As Reported by RomAnOCrY yesterday, Mt-card has released their 1.2 update.

mt-card.com said:
In V1.2, MT card supports animal crossing, pokemon XY. This update program is to update the FPGA chip and CPU data, no need to use another launcher.dat, same V.1.1 launcher.dat in the SD card.

Download the USB V1.2 from click here
While updating, the computer will automatically install the driver twice. If the driver has not been installed, you can open the computer device manager, check other device, click unknown device, right click the “Update Driver”, wait till installation finished. Since computer system comes with driver, no need to provide driver.

Please check the downloaded package for the instruction.

We are testing the Launcher.dat of V1.2, will release V1.2 Launcher.dat in a few days.

Damn it, no eshop games :(
Can someone email them and ask them if they are planning eshop support at all....I mean it only took 1 day for Gateway to support it >>

So this is additional confirmation that NAND games support require a FPGA update.

It's looking grimmer and grimmer for clone carts (R4i and 3dslink) users.

Hmmm...Ive sent them a mail asking if they are working on the update for eshop or not.
We shall see.
It looks promising but it makes me wonder why they didnt include it in recent 1.2 release. I mean Gateway got it working gin one day :(

It supports buying eShop games with money, but no ROMs.

1.2 is only a hardware update. You probably need a Launcher.dat update for eShop support.

Ehh...MT card firmware requiring an FPGA update released shortly after Gateway's firmware requiring an FPGA update. I'm not going to call MT a clone or make wild accusations of MT and Gateway being the same team, but that is some awfully coincidental timing.

In any case, good to see that we have at least two teams willing to do much of their own work. I say "much of" because Gateway originally built on top of R4i DS and MT originally built on top of Gateway. None the less, we finally have some strong and healthy competition in the 3DS scene as opposed to mostly no-talent clone groups mucking things up.

As confusing as their wording is (for lack of emphasis on important parts), it looks like the latest version available for download is v1.2a, not v1.2. v1.2a does not have eShop support, but as Vengeanceonu said, maybe their v1.2 release in a few days will have it.

Again, very VERY confusing, because their download links say it's 1.2, but the .rar's file name is MT_Card_Updater v1.2a.rar.

Probably MT-Card had NAND Saving finished but they held the release for some reason (maybe to develope more features first). Their FPGA update is via USB port, not via 3DS Slot.

It's the same file that got released as private beta some days ago.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really

It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
