Is it safe to get our free 500 wii points?

    Im on 4.0 system menu, i heard you need to update to get the points...

    Whatever though.
    It is safe to update

    Update your Wii Shop Channel via WiiSCU or a WAD (NUS Downloader).

    i know what you are talking about. i think u need a european wii. and u need to do the wifi assistant thingy. eh i dunno if its worth it or not.

    NO that's something else. Don't listen to this guy.


    Just update via nintendo to 4.2 if you don't have a region changed wii. Then follow the modify any wii guide sticky.

    Yeah just follow the guide to update to 4.2. Also use WiiSCU 0.23 to update only the Shop Channel. By the way, it's 500 points specifically for an NES game. Unfortunately you can use it for anything else.
