Hacking Installing update of firmware already installed?

Since the eShop spoof (see: http://gbatemp.net/threads/releases-eshop-spoof-region-free-for-pastacfw.389172) won't work for me since my 3DS apparently already has the 9.3 update downloaded (see:http://gbatemp.net/threads/releases-eshop-spoof-region-free-for-pastacfw.389172/page-10). I was going to try and 'flush out' the update files by reinstalling 9.2. Would it be safe to do so or am I asking for a brick?

It won't remove the update, but it can very easily brick your 3DS.
But you can remove the updates without doing that. Hold A+R+L+D-Pad Up when you turn on the 3DS, then cancel the update when it prompts.

Thanks, do I just say no when it asks to connect to the internet? Or do I have to do something else?
