First off they would need an exploit to load thier menu to then allow you to downgrade and there isnt any publicly-found useful exploits on 9.8
Stop being stingy and asking them to do the impossible (as of now), if you want it that bad work on it yourself.

they could make the DG only work with the red card this time, plus the red card is not totally useless it still adds a second MSD slot to your 3ds

I didn't think the 3DS/GW was compatible with SDXC (required for >32GB SDs, I think)
