be Patient the update will come as soon as possible, there is no problems for Gateway only solutions and the Final will be great.
Continu using your retail cards and if no more games try to rent the game do the trick to enter in gateway mode and then let your 3ds on (I now its difficult but it works in sleep mode the 3ds do not use power only to let the blue light on and best you exit from the game and stay in home menu because I some times Gateway card use some power)

Seriously? entrypoints on old 3ds are easy to set up, and requires no games.

Yes for old it works and we can even downgrade But with the New 3ds if you do not have OOT and CN game card you could only watch your gateway outside of your New3ds
