I have a launch day Wii that was modded awhile back. I haven't touched the thing in years and to my memory it worked fine last I touched it. Its possible my younger brother or sister may have accidentally updated or something and bricked the Wii. I wanna get this thing working again as its a launch day Wii with a lot of memories on it. I thought it was an issue with the AV, I have used component and composite on different TVs and no change. I know for a fact I installed BootMii on this thing awhile back as I was hacking this thing as the scene was developing. But I can't seem to boot into it, which makes me thing there could be something wrong with the video out on the unit but I can't find ANYONE online who has reported a Wii GPU failing.
The Wii Powers on. I can sync my remote to the unit and turn it on with the Wii Mote. I thought I got sound when I tested it a year or so agao but I'm not getting anything now but a black screen. I have BootMii files installed on the SD card, I boot the unit. Nothing. I was sure I installed Priiloader too, but I get nothing when I hit the reset power on boot. When I turn on the Wii, the disc tray lights up intitally, and then it'll light up once and then stop. I guess its a flash? I can't tell.
So I'm in this weird place where I don't know if this unit got bricked or if its having video issues, but I have troubleshoot the video issue pretty well and I still find it hard to believe this Wii has an issue with video out. Any way I can confirm my BootMii is installed and set up correctly in case that's whats going on?
Edit: Wiimote Pair Light Stays lit up too, when I try to hit the button to load Priiloader or BootMii, I think it if it booted into one of these successfully it would not stay lit up?
