Hardware Guitar Hero 5 Guitar Dropping Notes

So up until this evening, my guitar was working fine. Now, it's dropping notes. I'll play it perfectly fine and it wont hit. And just to see if it wasn't just me having a bad day on Expert, my girlfriend tried it on medium, and it happened to her too.

Any way to fix this maybe? SOme kind of home fix? Keep in mind it's a Guitar Hero 5 Guitar.

if its a 2 piece guitar check the neck piece is in place or give it a blow maybe dust is in it
