Volleyball practice, see you all soon.

Big Thanks!
I didnt expect you to translate all of them!
I'll download and merge and upload them soon.

You guys rock but are translations for story too or just essential options?

look at first post of this topic.

-----------------------------
I think we should start a task list to be done with.
Users and post requests too and maybe support with save games, so i'll be able to take pix (since i dont play FFTA2 myself).

[EDIT]
I managed to download files finally and i sorted and catogorized the 1.4 version of Story and Gameplay, but problem is that i cant upload 17mg.

have to find a way, and if i want to lower the quality of pix, the text will be unreadable.

I can borrow you my wiki, just pm me your msn for example, and I'll upload your pictures.

I would like it to do on GBAtemp's Wiki (since it started in here and stuff), I think we need Thug4Life's help here a little.

so if we upload pix to wiki, i can list pix of Story and Gameplay and we can divide up places there, cool?

Thug4life contacted me in PM and asked me to make the Wiki page for FFTA2 using the same template as tingle I made previously.

I made one here :
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/index.php?title=15...tsu_no_Grimoire

This is a first shot template.
I used the same table as Dirtie for the translating project.

If it's not adapted for what you want to do, feel free to edit.
I will help you more if I can.

you guys are really doing a good job, seriously, keep it up!
I cant speak or understand a bit of Japanese, but I have got, played and completed the prievious final fantasy, and I have a fast internet connection, so if there is anything I can help with, just let me know

@Cyan
Thanks a lot

@anyone who wants to help:

Someone can upload the pics so far to the wiki (original pics, no translation), and add the corresponding english from the translated pictures to the column on the right. I or someone else who understand/can type Japanese will later add in the Japanese text.

no problem.

I see the pictures are actually hard edited, but the English text is somewhat unreadable (black text on black picture).
Don't you think it will be better to upload new raw pictures and add the translation on the side like Dirtie did on his translating project's wiki page ?

I think it will be better for reading it.

is the rom working on emu to take snapshot ?

same here. eventually we'll get everything up on the wiki and we wont need a webhost like mihd. hopefully the files will be back up soon tho

I tried the ideas1019, it's working at good speed. Audio is almost perfect, but the speed is better is audio is off.
There seems to be a problem with the transparency on the title screen, but Ingame transparency is working.

note : Ideas1018a doesn't have the ideas watermark on the bottom right.

I'll try the last version of No$Gba and edit here.

Edit :
I run No$GBA 2.5, the transparency is working nicely, but it's very slow and I didn't manage to take any screenshot.

How hard is it to start translate from the files? The problem with it is that there's no japanese characters to be found. At least I haven't found none of them...

I really say we should be doing the story as well, and make it a patch, cause I am sooo not looking forward to waiting about another year just to be able to enjoy this game proporly....

is it possible to do so?

The more I play the game, the easier it is to understand. I personally think that now the focus should be the story line, thats what its all about right? FFT games have good story lines, and I want to know whats happening. The controls and gameplay is pretty straight forward

Really the only translations I'd probably need to understand the game are what the laws are for each confrontation. If it's not that much different from the GBA game, it should be simple to understand now.

And maybe the skills from weapons and armor...

I for one has never played the GBA game, and the only tactics game I played was on GB a hundred years ago or so. There are probably more people like me out there for whom more than just the law translations would be helpful.

Edit:

@cyan
Thats awesome! A lot better than camera photos (not criticizing test in any way though. awesome work you did too man.)
