For some reason, Jasmine's nametag appeared like this. It kind of "fixed" itself after I switched to the following page with the R button.

Likewise, it printed an extra "a" for no reason whatsoever in between "The" and "aircraft".

And finally, in the difficulty selection, the word "comfortable" is written as "confortable" (well, not actually a misspelling, but writing it with a "m" is more correct). It's shown in one of the screenshots in this thread.
[/SPOILER]
Are you using an emulator (Which one) or the Nintendo DS console?

Thank you for the translation!

I have a suggestion, though. I did notice that there seem to be a little discrepancies with the font (which, by the way, has been used in many other Nintendo DS translation patches AFAIK).

Namely, the apostrophe and the quotation marks are a little too small and the exclamation mark should be shifted one pixel closer to the last letter (see the screenshots where there are exclamations, where they are one pixel farther away than they should be?)

I've got a screenshot from another translation that uses this kind of font in the game, and that might help you adjusting the font accordingly.

Quick thing, how does that font handle the " digit? I'm currently editing the font of the game right now.
Could you also give me the name of the game you took reference from? Maybe even sending me the NFTR file?

Okay, so the game is "L - the ProLogue to Death Note: Spiraling Trap", which was translated by the AGT Team in 2024.

I can't send the NFTR because the font is not stored in an NFTR file in that game, but I can safely say the " is the apostrophe from that screenshot repeated twice.

I got this video that features the first ten minutes of gameplay, and there is a " in the opening cutscene.

With the original hardware, these problems don't occur.
I need to do more thorough testing with the emulator, but so far I haven't had any problems.
How did you set up the emulator?

Actually didn't tamper at all with filters and such, I play games with the default settings on that emulator.

I don't believe these issues happen on melonDS either, right?

I use desmume. The settings I selected in Config=>emulation settings are:
*enable advanced bus-level timing
*enable game hacks
*use dynamic recompiler

emulator's internal firmware

I've been trying to compare a bit the " symbol and ' symbol I've made with the one of the font itself, and I guess I like the simplicity of a single line for the quotation marks. Would there be any inconvenience?

To be honest, and that's my opinion, I prefer more how it looks like in the second screenshot.

But now that I remember, this very kind of font is officially used in the GBA and DS Castlevania games like Harmony of Dissonance, and it has been used in the same exact way and look on many other translation projects. So, uh, it's kind of common to see it.

Quick untranslated thing I noticed: The tab on the name entry screen which contains the Latin characters, numbers and extra symbols is untranslated. Should say something like "ABC#" or just "ABC". Could also start on that tab as default too.

Thank you for your feedback, although I'll not touch the translation for the time being.
Enjoy the game!
