Here is some screenshots from the Omnislash Project mod I'm currently helping @MrEffler22 port over. This is an early test build with Cloud battle and field models modified, most enemies during the bombing mission changed, and Barret's field model updated.

We are still looking for more people to assist in porting this massive project so let us know if you are interested!
Wow that looks amazing. Please don’t forget to implement 16:9 as will if you don’t mind. It will be super fun.

reunion mod w/ 60fps battle plssss anyone

I have been looking into this for a couple hours now, but I'm not knowledgeable in regards to FF7 modding. From what I read the 60 fps battle mod is basically just a modified ff7.exe (right?). I saw that the FF7 NT mod that was released on here included the ff7.exe (Just without the file extension) and the guy in his thread said that even steam executables work fine.

So this information leads me to thinking that it should work somehow? I tried just using the reunion ff7.exe, but this did not work.
Apparently the guide about the PSX style 60fps thats online (Dunno if I'm allowed to relink this here) injects a dll or something to make this work, but states that you could also modify the ff7.exe if "you know what you are doing". Sadly the download from this is offline, as it is "included in reunion".
I'm not sure how to go on from this, but will look a little more into it.

15fps battles are not really bearable for me, so this would be wonderful.

I really appreciate your taking the time to look into this, but as a long time member of the FF7 modding community I would like to set the record on this, completely and finally.

They have not had a completely working 60fps mod for this game in over 20 years. A lot of the systems and menus have their own independent framerates, and further game logic is tied to said framerate, making a universal 60fps an absolute nightmare to implement.

Regardless, it is being worked on by some of our best and brightest, and if they ever complete it, I will spearhead the discussion on how it can be implemented for Switch.

Thanks for your answer. From what I have read they did have 60 fps battles though, right?
At least in videos it looked a looooot smoother and this is actually the only thing I care about.
Everything else looks fine, but battles are hard to look at imo.

Anyhow: I hope they will finish it then and look forward to seeing you spearheading the discussion, you'd be my absolute hero

While they did, it basically made everything run at 2x speed. I'm confident they'll get it working
