The most prominent thing I thought was a mod-introduced bug was no Handmaiden. Having just got Disciple, I'm ready to conclude that this build flips from vanilla. Male PCs get Disciple, Female PCs get Handmaiden. I was under the mistaken impression that the prepackaged (mediafire) zip was just TSLRCM, and it was the zip files attached to the OP that included all of the listed mods.

So to clarify: the prepackaged archive implements all of the mods listed in spoiler tags in the OP. Including the homosexual romance options (which necessitate the handmaiden-disciple switch).

Can you confirm what version of Kotor 2 switch you successfully tested this build on? My understanding is there are three updates to date, 1.0.1-1.0.3.

Whatever was the most recent update around summer last year. Which I think is 1.0.2.

And yes, the prepackaged zip contains the mods I listed, because that was my setup at the time.

Look man, you clearly don't know what you're doing here, so just delete everything you installed so far and just use this:

DOWNLOAD AND USE ONLY THIS
Umm yeah that's exactly what I did the first time and it didn't work. Not sure why you would attach other files if they weren't meant to be used. BTW the game still crashes no matter what, so it's obviously not something I'm doing, but thanks anyway.

They *are* meant to be used, but you need to read the entirety of the opening post to understand how to use them.
  • The mediafire link is for people who don't want to bother with the steps required to use their preferred selection of mods on the Switch version. It contains TSLRCM and some other mods I used on my playthrough.
  • The first attachment contains some prepared folders and a script that you can use to port PC mods to the Switch.
  • The second attachment is a fix I created to prevent TSLRCM from breaking the Switch interface (mostly button prompts).
  • The third attachment is a fix I created for an audio bug I ran into during testing.
I've left links to deadlystream where you can find who lay the groundwork for this method as well as what I felt was a relatively easy to follow guide. I also left my personal mod folder for whoever just wanted something ready to use.

A year ago I might've had fresh experience to help people debug their issues, but at this point I'm just not going to revisit this game on this platform so whoever comes next will just have to put in the work.

Best of luck.

I've edited the OP just to place the prepackaged mod folder at the very top. Hopefully that will make things easier for whoever lands on this thread in the future.

Just wanted to leave one final note: if you want to rule out the causes of crashes/bugs/etc, you need to load a save from BEFORE you were using those mods. In other words, mods, particularly botched installs, can corrupt a save.

If you install TSLRCM (properly) you should start a new game.

I just came back to this thread. I stopped playing the game for a while because I made a bad decision regarding going to Nar Shadaa as the first planet and not realizing what all got changed, and I got frustrated and took a break from the game. I also started the game fresh and installed the game and mods all at the same time. The mods all work perfectly too. No idea why the game is crashing, but I deleted and reinstalled everything and am going to try again from scratch and see if that helps. I reread the OP a few times over again just to be sure I didn't do something wrong this time. The crashes were mostly during combat or when navigating the main menu. The chances of a crash doubled when entering the menu during combat. Those are the only things that caused a crash, and it was random.

Oh and I miswrote when I said that I installed the first attachment. I actually used the mediafire link this whole time. I don't know why I said I used the attachment. That's why you thought i didn't read the OP lol. Sorry about that.

I beat the game using the TSLRCM and some other mods on Ryujinx. I didn't use the the file that OP attached because that one was giving me problems. I didn't like the fact that when I played as Male PC I got Disciple and when I played as Female PC I got Handmaiden. So I did a fresh install of the TSLRCM.

I converted all the TGA files to TPC format using, tga2tpc (found on Deadly Stream)

I also used the dialogue fix that OP provided.

The Switch version of KOTOR 1 and 2 prioritizes tpc format over tga, as OP stated. If you convert the tga files in the TSLRCM to tpc, you will have a smoother playthrough.

I beat the game in two separate playthroughs using male and female pc with no glitches and no crashes.

The mods I used, in addition to TSLRCM, were:

1) Ultimate character overhaul -REDUX (found on Nexus mods)

2) Workbench Crystal Attunement 1.2 (found on Deadly Stream)

3) Ebon Hawk HD - 4X Upscaled Texture (found on Nexus mods)

4) Daemon's Ebon Hawk Re-Skin (Steam) (found on Nexus mods) - although it says Steam version it will definitely work on this version.

5) Movie-style Jedi Master robes 1.5 (found on Nexus mods or Deadly Stream)

I tried to use the High Quality Skyboxes and the planet texture packs but they were too much for the Switch version to handle and the game would keep crashing. I got further in Ryjujinx than I did in Yuzu but the game would still crash.

So with a lot of trial and error I determined that using too many planet texture packs is overwhelming to the Switch version. At least for the emulators. I'm not sure what would happen if you tried on a modded switch.

So in conclusion, the TSLRCM will work from start to finish on the Switch version. I thought this was a very fun experiment and I really want to thank the modders that made it possible, including @Stellar.

Ok good, can you share the mod? You know since you already have done all the steps and got it ready to use... I've got a drag and drop modpack with latest comunity patch and npc armor resolution fix for Kotor 1: kotor1modpack

I've been playing this and I installed all the mods in the zip file. The handmaiden doesn't join me on telos after the trial what should I do? I played and was able to find disciple but handmaiden never joined and I'm a male exile

Couple of ones I do run don't have the blurb, as we only run domain local cookies for keeping login data etc. (no google or whatever) and those are legal under GDPR without any extra notification.

Yeah. Of course wherever the site is located GDPR brought in further complications concerning the personal data of EU citizens

An entire data wipe just for one user sounds silly on any website

  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Well a site owner could say they deleted everything and still keep records of it not saying this site would just that they easily could
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Plus other users quote information so they have to go in and delete every quote they made to that user as well
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
And that has what lead to data breaches, because the companies lack the ethics of keeping their security up-to-date. They fail to understand and respond to protocols whenever they're told.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Wanting just your data gone from a website doesn't have much to do with security unless two users leaked personal info admins shouldn't have to get involved
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
Well the user can demand to see all the data that's stored on them, and GDPR demands this in "reasonable timeframe". Even one month is reasonable. And as said, you don't have copyright on your part of "collaborative creation" so there isn't any law requiring the deletion of posts (and ruining the threads in the same time).
    +1
