Hi, I know this is a recurrent topic, but after read all the open thread about, I still don't know what the problem is.

This is the ROM info I am using:

No-Intro Name: Fire Emblem (Europe) (En,Es,It)
(No-Intro version 20130720-015858)
ROM/File SHA-1: F2EB087E9254FAA7656EC6F1CF81FA701A853124

I think is a clean ROM. As far as I know, the 1.04 firmware 6 was suppossed to quit the autosave function of Fire Emblem game series in order to avoid the save problem, but I swear I've repeated four times different groups of chapters because of this not saving issue. I am really desperate. I've tried using NOR memory and launching it normally, but it doesn't mind.

What is more frustrating is the fact that sometimes the game saves, and sometimes not, and there is no logical clue about what exactly the problem is.

Thanks in advance for the answers, and sorry for the cyclic thread, but as I've said, I am completely lost here.

We removed all fire emblem series battle field auto save. the manual suspend and chapter save are fine.

I‘d tested the rom with same sha-1 as yours. save function works well.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
