Hi just curious, does the new update fix this issue? And if not, is there a way to solve this freezing problem? This is for the regular DSi
Anyone have an issue with Pokemon Platinum randomly freezing? Sometimes it freezes fast, sometimes it doesn't freeze at all. I have to turn the DS(i) off when this happens

Hello how are you guys?

I'm using an old version of twilight menu because of the automatic recognition of widescreen games (just games with widescreen patch stays as widescreen)jist want to know, the newest version already has this feature? Thank you!

There is currently no way to fix it.

Nope, the new version removes it because it wasn't working correctly for some users.

Okay, so I'm a bit confused on how the restored InfraRed feature works in TWiLight Menu. I tried to launch White 2 as a ROM through the menu in my 2DS, with any cart inserted (in this case Platinum), and the system does restart when booting the game up. However if I try to comunicate with my real cart in the DSi through infrared, it doesn't work at all, they can't find eachother. Do I need a cart inserted that has InfraRed for it to work? If so why does it only work with 3DS systems too?

It's such a shame, I was hoping to finally be able to get an use a PokéWalker without needing the SoulSilver cart... but even then, keep the good work as always, this project is going fantastic!

(also I saw in nds-bootstrap's release you tried to put Slot-2 emulation in NDS carts without success. Really hoping you are able to do so on the future, sending prayers to ya!)

on the DSi, in order to use the infrared you need to run TWiLight Menu++ through hiyacfw
I don't remember the details or why, iirc the launcher does some initialization stuff currently not replicated in nds-bootstrap
dsi.cfw.guide (slash) installing-hiyacfw has instructions on how to do so

Oh I have Hiya, don't worry. Nice to know it should work, thanks for one of the issues solved, but the real issue here is that trying to connect my original White 2 cart in the DSi with the ROM ran through the menu in 2DS don't connect at all, they just won't find eachother.

Also nice to see you here too urmum!

We have no idea how to fix IR support on DSi consoles.

Okay, got that. The issue here tho is that the DSi isn't running the ROM, the 2DS is. The test I did was putting the cartridge, the physical game, onto the DSi, running it through the official launcher in the official NAND, and trying to connect with the ROM that was running in the 2DS with TWiLight. The DSi isn't using bootstrap, the 2DS is. Is just that the menu can't connect to the DSi no matter if running through the official cart and official launcher in there?

Gotcha, yeah then that's the issue. Thought the black rectangle above the DS slot was the thing that would be used for IR instead (which I think is an infrared light but not sure). Yeah that would be all, thanks for the help as always Rob! Shame I can't test it for now but oh well

Hiya Robz,

Made an account just to say you're a got damb legend (I did spell it with a 'b' on purpose), and I love all the features you've implemented :yay3ds:

Also, I'm using TWiLightMenu++ on an r4i-sdhc card and I see no option to pull up cheats of any kind for any ds title I load onto it?
  • using latest valentine's TWiLightMenu++ update with flashcard autoboot successfully
  • usrcheat.dat is located in \_nds\TWiLightMenu\extras\
  • it's the latest file from DeadSkullzJr
  • the lowest Y menu option for any title is to set it as a donor rom, but that's it, no X prompt for cheats
  • using the DSi Theme, if that helps
Any ideas?

why do i feel the sudden urge to start singing pirate's scorn from the donkey kong country cartoon?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
