Guys, I'm playing Pokemon SoulSilver and the game worked great this far but right now I need to catch Lugia but I've got a black screen and sound problem when the cut scene try to load. Is there anything to do about that?

The ROM is AP-patched, right?

Yes I patched it! (before patching I had a lot of freeze and black screen). Maybe I should try to repatch it? I need to precise I'm currently playing a hack of SoulSilver (Storm Silver) and my console is an old 3ds

So I tried to export my save and to play on my pc and it worked (I used Desmume). So the problem is when we've got cutscenes on games. I already noted that when I was playing Zelda Spirit Track (ap patched of course): the game work fine but when there are cutscenes, it's very slow. But for SoulSilver, it's just a black screen :( (Here is the link to a video with the cutscene in question )

Having an odd series of bugs myself. I had the old DSI++ on my New 3DS for a while, but just recently upgraded to this one. The install and everything went smoothly, I wiped all the old DS++ stuff off of my SD and uninstalled it using FBI, replacing it with the new one. However, the first major issue I have is that Twilight Menu can't seem to create save files for most of the games I'm trying. It will freeze on the screen that says "Creating Save File", and create a .sav with 0 bytes in the save folder, which will crash and freeze the game upon startup. Examples include Lost in Blue and SaGa 2. However, other games such as the first Layton game create the save file fine. I can temporarily get around this by creating the save file in an emulator first.

The second issue I'm having is with SaGa 2 in particular. The game always freezes at the window scene when starting a new game, and if starting from a save file, will always freeze about 10 seconds in, regardless of the patch used. I'm using a clean JP rom I patched myself, the patch including AP, and the game is listed as working just fine in the compatibility thread.

Hello,
I have a problem with the twilight launcher on my 3ds cfw. I tried to launch Pokémon black (ap patched) but after the loading screen finished I only got a white screen and nothing happens. I tried to use different versions of the game but nothing changes.

Ps: one time I was able to run the game but without gaining exp. A fix code broke it again and it lead to the same problem.

I have fixed the second issue. It was AP, any comments stating that the AP was patched out in the english translation were INCORRECT. I applied the AP from this link https://gbatemp.net/threads/saga-2-hihou-densetsu-goddess-of-destiny-project.180152/page-21 and it is now working perfectly. From reading in the bootstrap thread as well, the first issue is a known problem, correct? It's annoying but still useable if I can pre generate the .sav elsewhere.

Works great on my n3DSXL and also my DSphat via my R4. I was hoping this could be used to play GBA backups on my DSphat with GBARunner2. Is this possible? Instead of loading a file it just says "launch GBA game" at the bottom and looks for an actual game cart in slot2. When I hit the right arrow button and go to launch them manually it will only recognize GB/GBC games and GBA games are all blank. I assume it's not possible to utilize GBARunner2 on the R4/DSphat?

I'll take that as a no then?

Make sure cheats are not enabled, and that the game is set to be ran in DS mode.

Sorry. Didn't see your question.
Go into TWLMenu++ settings, switch pages 'til you see a "Use GBARunner2" option. Set that option to "Yes".

Will it be enhancement about the cutscene in games for future releases? (Or is it even possible?). Still I would like to thank you for this amazing work!

Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
