Hello, can you help me? I'm trying to import my Drastic save file (.dsv) and no matter the method i use (rename extension, both online and offline converters, and even exporting the file via Desmume), and in the best scenarios, my save would load into the "Load save " screen, but when selected, it would just freeze in a black screen, the problem is, if i start a new game, the game just flows naturally. Can someone help?

Are you using the N3DS file manager to move the saves? For some reason it just doesn't play nice with some files, so try using FTPD or something if you've been using the file manager, and all you should have to do is rename the extension.

Actually i'm using windows explorer, since Drastic is on my phone i have to put it manually.

I can boot into dsimenu++ just fine on my old 3ds, I even started playing FFXII Revenant Wings, completed the very first mission and got to the save screen, I saved the game, pressed continue and got an infinite black screen. The game now refuses to boot at all for whatever reason. I'd like some help here.

Are you using the latest DSiMenu++ and nds-bootstrap versions?

I used the latest dsimenu++ from this post, I have no idea about the nds-bootstrap though. Is there a way to verify it? I've just followed the guide provided here by the way
Yes. In the ROM menu, touch the wrench icon on the top-left on the bottom screen. (Assuming you're using either the DSi or 3DS theme.)

Ok, so that's the latest nds-bootstrap version.

Try renaming the .sav file, and launch the .nds ROM again.

Now the game boots, the initial movie plays, then the game just freezes on a white screen after it ends. Even sound is stuck and will always "repeat".

Could probably be something wrong with your SD card.
Try checking it for errors.

I already did and everything is working fine, I don't understand why this is happening. Could it be that the nds file is inside a folder and maybe the app doesn't like it? Or maybe that there is a 3ds game cartridge inside the 3ds?

I've also not quite understood that part about sysnand and emunand install?

None of what you mentioned is related to the issue.
Wait for a fix then, I guess.

I don't understand why the game was just working fine the first time I booted it and then just stopped after saving for the first time and refused to load since, even if I delete the .sav file. Is there any way to uninstall dsimenu and maybe retry?

Just for reference here's what I did to install: copied the _nds folder, copied the cia folder and the launcher cia, copied the boot file into the root. Installed those 3 cias and then booted the app and the game. Did I forget something?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."
