i have a Giant problem with action replay luma FBI crashing everytime with the modifled luma 9.0 version and crashing only in in ARM9 processor not in arm11

That's weird, what modification exactly is in the Luma version you are using, the problem must be there, also, are there any green flashes before loading a title?

btw, you sound younger than 18...

I do this thread so we can have a general place to talk about it, and also to give you a blank plugin so you can use the tools (search, guide and others) without being annoyed by builtin cheats.
I remind you that you can use 2 plugins (or more, but only 1 ctrpf plugin though) at the same time, and so you can use this blank plugin with another plugin which will have your cheats.
You can change the hotkey in Tools/Settings to avoid any overlapping.

Guide

You can find a guide to use some of the features here (pdf).

Sadly as you can see, the guide is a little outdated because of lack of time.
So, I'm searching for volunteers that would like to update / translate it.
If you're interested, you can find an editable (.docx) version of the guide here. ;)

Action Replay

It's now "official" CTRPF have it's own Action Replay system. It means that it can now load your cheats from a text file (so no more needs for any converter or compilation).
CTRPF supports all Gateshark code types and even add some custom code types to increase the possibilities of the codes.

You can find a list with all the supported codes here: List of all codetype.

CTRPF support Folder and note managing and also have it's own editor.
Which means that you can edit, create and delete the codes at runtime, without the need for anything else.

The cheats files can be at 2 locations:
  • cheats.txt in the same folder of the plugin
  • sd:/cheats/<tid>.txt - Replace <tid> by the title id of the game
To use it, download the ActionReplay.7z attached and put it on your SD card (see the Luma3DS section below to use the ame plugin for all games).

Gateshark cheats

Gateshark cheats should be supported at 100% by the Action Replay.
Sadly, Fort42 is currently unavailable so here my most recent downloaded archive of all codes: download
Just unzip and copy the cheats folder at the root of your SD card.

Note that I didn't create those cheats, and some cheats might not work.
If a cheat is not working, it just means that the cheat is wrong: no support will be done for cheats not working, I'm not here to fix all cheats, so create another thread (or move to another existing thread), thank you.

On N3DS, if the game uses the N3DS's HID (cstick, zl & zr), it won't work.
Easy fix:
  • Open Rosalina
  • Go in the Miscellaneous options menu
  • Start the Input Redirection
  • That's it, go back to your game, it should work now

Luma3DS with Plugin Loader

I merged and edited the plugin loader from NTR (which is now open source) into Luma3DS.
The goal was to be able to launch plugins from Luma3DS without the need to use BootNTR Selector.
So, this is possible, but know that only CTRPF plugins can be loaded from this plugin loader.

To use it, download the boot.7z attached and unzip it. Then put it on your sd card (rename any existing boot.firm to boot.firm.bak in case you want to go back).

The plugins can be set at 2 places:
  • sd:/luma/plugins/<tid>/plugin.plg - Name of the plugin must be plugin.plg and you have to replace <tid> by the title id of your game
  • If a plugin isn't found in the tid folder, Luma3DS will search for ActionReplay.plg in sd:/luma/plugins/ActionReplay/ActionReplay.plg
The plugin loader is automatically enabled on Old3DS because Mode3 games needs it.
So on N3DS, you have to enable the plugin loader from Rosalina (L+ DPad Down + Select), and you can disable it too. You can't disable it for Mode3 games though (O3DS only).

No support on the code is intended, I did this mostly for fun, if you want to change anything you're on your own.


Are you going to update the plugin loader for support on 11.8 because I really need one since I accidentally updated

the luma3ds sction replay plg is not good in the root/Luma/Plugin/Actionreplay.plg
i use luma 9.0 with boot9strapp i have this problem only because the actionreplay.plg i have arm9 crashes in and before loading a green screen

i have a a9lh ordner in the root its the creash because the a9lh ordner or arm9loaderhax.bin?

whwn i delete the actionreplay.plg is all normal no crashes

Path should be sd:\luma\plugins\ActionReplay\ActionReplay.plg. Not sure whether or not capitalization matters. If that doesn't help it's probably an issue with the cheats you're trying to load.

So i did a tutorial on how to use ActionReplay again took me 15 minutes to write all the things step by step and at the end the page didn't let post it so i erase it wait for the developer to update the plugin as always i hate website that block nonsence like a simple tutorial that has no bad words , no complicate words but still blocks the content.

i will try this again:

You can use Actionreplay.plg with NTR CFW....how? simple
Create a cheat folder on the root of your sd card there you will put the 00040000001D4000.txt of your game.
Now create a folder name plugin on the root of your SD card, inside this folder you will make a folder with the ID number of the game.(00040000001D4000)
Once you have done making the folder inside that folder you wil add the Actionreplay.plg plugin , insert your SD card back to you 3ds and load NTR CFW
once it loads go to the game you just add the codes launch it the screen will splash iin a screen color telling you a plugin have been loaded and if success you
will see in the bottom right corner [plugin Enable] now press Select and the actionreplay.plg will load. have fun....

If I enable codes through Rosalina, they don't work. If I enable through "Select" they work. Is the Rosalina cheat menu supposed to be working?

Are NTR codes currently supported? Like if you put the NTR plugin in luma/plugin/[TitleID]?
When you remove NTR support, will NTR still function separately for games that don't have AR codes?

At this time to use the cheat option in Rosalinda needs a bit of plugin help
i notice what happening to you too, CHeat wont load or if they do wont stay on for long
not sure why, the only way i could use them was taking Actionreplay.plg and add it to a folder with the ID of the game in the plugins folder
and load NTR and instead of select the codes by using Rosalinda and enable them by using Actionreplay.plg by pressing select and then selecting the codes.

As such, I can't help you with this, you should probably ask in their discord or do an issue (or use CTRPF's Action Replay). ;)

It'll have some extra informations about the plugin (author, version and description) which could be used to create a plugin manager.
But the real difference is that this plugin format will be used by the new plugin loader I'm working on, which solves issues like having to reboot to change game.
You'll be able to switch game as much as you want with the new loader and still use plugins with them. :)

But first order of business would be to fix the current version to work with 11.8, right?
CTRPF works with 11.8.
As for the luma3DS mod, I don't see the point in fixing something which is about to be deprecated/discontinued.
Might as well focus on the new plugin loader so I can release it faster.
