Unfortunately you made it worse. Now I just get a completely garbage output that's not even the slightest bit usable.

Only 720p is showing proper output still, every other resolution (including 1080p) is showing garbage.

If it helps, your last build from 12-18-2023 (post #950) was working with no issues on all resolutions (save for the fact that it stutters more compared to your newer builds).

Guys, sorry for my ignorance, I installed version 2.2.0 yesterday and found this forum today. How do I update the original version 2.2.0 to the KKwong version? And just replace the chiaki.nro file from one to the other??

For example, play FIFA 23 AGAINST a friend. It would be great because I got it working outside my network satisfactorily. Thank you for any help..

You cannot. Your single Chiaki remote session connection is for one player and one player only.

However, there is a jank way to do it: Have your friend just connect to remote play on a phone using PSPlay in gamepad mode (still on a seperate PSN account from Switch Chiaki), then just ignore the phone altogether and pretend you're playing on the same Switch screen. It won't drain the phone's battery much because all it's doing is send controller inputs like a normal remote play connection without the actual video streaming.

Disclaimer: I have not tested the above method.

Wow, awesome to see H.265 and 1080P supported! Now we just need a way to use the touchpad button for docked play since a lot of menus rely on that button to open. I wonder if it would be possible to use the screenshot button or maybe +- combo to replicate it.

ps5 9.00 (after update on March 13) ps4 and ps5 chiaki vibration function (ex judgement, god of war) is not working. Is it possible to update it? It worked well before the update.

First off, thanks for the fantastic app. Playing Elden Ring before going to bed, while IN bed is great!

However I'm having an issue when my PS5 is in Rest Mode.

I will send the Wake Command via Chiaki, which seems to do the trick of waking the PS5. I'll wait a few seconds and then go to Connect, and the app just sits there and basically freezes the system until I reboot my Switch.

When I go downstairs to look at what's going on, my PS5 is sitting there with the "Press the PS button on your controller". As long as I do that and go into my Profile, I can connect via Chiaki just fine. Is there a step I'm missing or a setting on the PS5?

Figured it out! I had to go into my "Accounts and Settings" and enable "Log into PS5 Account Automatically" as well as delete the Passcode.

Hi guys, i have some small problems, with last version of kkwong, the image dont break anymore, but i have some small fps dips on switch.

I am running ps5 on cable, and switch with 720 / 60 fps with 1500 mtu.

It its normal? Or there is something that i miss :(

This is most likely your connection to your wifi

There is nothing you can do to end the connection manually - you have to return to the Home screen, close the app and reopen. It's annoying.
Though, you can also just end the remote play session from the PS5 side and it'll kick you back to the Chiaki menu.

The touch pad button is only accessible while in handheld mode - you simply touch anywhere near the edges of the screen to trigger it. You unfortunately can't access it while docked.

Thanks for the info, I'm very used to the linux version. But yeah it's understandable that it's not present on this version.

I have an issue connecting to my ps5 with my switch. I first noticed this issue with my ps4, it would not connect with the switch chiaki app until I loaded the jailbreak for 7.02 and then connected fine. My pc would connect with chiaki without the jailbreak. The issue is my ps5 is on 9.20 and cannot be affected by a jailbreak currently so I cannot utilize this workaround. I should probably add that the ps4 was in jailbreak mode when I used the activator homebrew. Does this mean I have to somehow deactivate the ps4 to make it work on the ps5 or does it only work with the ps5 jailbreak?

Edit: turns out I carried the 1 instead of an l and had the wrong account ID. So... is the touch screen no longer used for the TouchPad with the ps5 as it was with the ps4 or is that a hotkey setting?

Edit edit: while playing FFXVI with my switch, I was able to bring up the local map by pushing the TouchPad icon at the bottom right of the screen, while holding it down I was able to open the atl page as well so try using the bottom portion of the screen as the TouchPad button. Not sure about any of the other TouchPad functions.

Hello everyone~ I found it boring to play ps5 games without haptic feedback, so I added simulated rumble to chiaki. Now you can configure haptic in each host or globally.

It's hard to simulate the exact feeling of haptic feedback, so if anyone interested in optimizing it will be amazing~

I dunno is someone else experiment that. But, first, very good work kkwong, h265 made a huge difference.

I tested some situations with your version:

Applet mode:
- unplayable with enabled haptic or 1080p, images frozen
- playable with 720p, 540p and 360p with 30 fps but without haptic. If 60 fps was enable, start to drop and blink.

Full memory mode (open holding R over a game):
- playable with enabled haptic and 1080p, 720p, 540p and 360p, 30/60 fps with haptic enabled.

Just to help if someone else are trying to use it in applet mode as you could with the old version without h265 support. I can say that the graphics are stunningly good in 1080 and h265 in a remote TV.

Also, I asked for the source code from the guy that add support to DDNS and the new registration mode.. and he does not answered too... will be awesome to commit the code inside yours. :)

A question, anyone knows which option in the Pro Controller I can "simulate" the click on the touch in the PS5 controller? I know if I use the portable mode, if I touch the screen (top) it will work as I was touching the PS5 control, but now, using docked remotely, exist a way to do that?

Ah ha, I should make a notice to other that there is not enough memory in applet mode.:rofl2:
For better gpu handling, I have to cache 3 frames so extra memory is needed.

And for pro controller, I really don't have any idea how to define a shortcut to do touchpad press simulation. (Maybe you can come up with an idea and won't mess up normal key behavior)

The only thing that comes to my mind is "multi keys".. but I really don't know if it is possible. For example L1 + R1 replicate the button. I read the thread and saw someone saying that "the image is frozen", after I understand the "needs", I thought to make a reply to clarify that. :)

I can use my ddns to connect to my ps5 with KKwong latest build.
@kkwong awesome work. As a father I hardly have TV time so being able to remote play to my Switch brought me back do PS games. Thank you very much sir.

I think this could work. The way that the third-party remote play app, MirrorPlay (for Apple Platforms), implements the touchpad button is through the ability to remap touchpad to multiple keys inputs.

Would love to see this @kkwong , but regardless many thanks for the current build as is—it really is fantastic.
