Capcom has announced today that it is releasing The Making of Resident Evil 7 in the form of a four part series. The latter will contain "never before seen footage and interviews with key development team members as they explore the origins of 2017’s scariest gaming experience"

The four part series will release weekly and you can see the first part, Part One: Beginning Hours, right here:

These "Making of" documentaries seem to have picked up a trend among developers, with Nintendo releasing the Breath of the Wild documentary in a similar fashion earlier. So how are the fans enjoying the behind the scenes of their favorite games?

It'll be interesting to see what made them decide on going the horror-survival route once more. Worked out great and is a welcome return to form, but it's a huge shift from where they were going in RE5-6.

Considering that games back then took maybe 2 weeks to finish, as opposed to the half-decades we get now, it would probably be a 5 minute documentary.

5 and 6 are still the series best-sellers, so chances are this is the last one before we go full ego shooter
