I'd have to agree with mashers and The Real Jdbye. For the N3DS, the 2.1 downgrade was/is unsafe. The OTPless method, while not tested as thoroughly, should be/is much safer, especially since it now checks SD cards. I took the plunge early on when A9LH was new and the entire time I had an adrenaline rush as I knew at anytime while getting the 2.1 nand prepared, something could go wrong. Do I think that OTPless should be a part of the guide for N3DS, yes absolutely. Should the it be optional, maybe but that's if Plailect chooses to do so. On the complete flip side, at the very beginning of the guide there is a warning that modifying your console comes with risks unless you follow directions exactly as written. It may not be your fault that your console no longer works, but you were warned that this is a risky process.
