Yep, it happens on certain R4 clones I think. Maybe some others but I've only noticed R4 clone owners posting it so far.

YSMenu + DSTT 1.17a07 + updated infolib.dat/extinfo.dat/savlib.dat/r4patch.dat
Plays the game fine except for the missing overlay. It will also play many other games fine like Assassin's Creed II.

I greatly dislike using YSMenu. I hate that it doesn't look nearly as nice as the official. Plus, it just bugs me. Hopefully we'll get a normal patch soon though.

I greatly dislike using YSMenu. I hate that it doesn't look nearly as nice as the official. Plus, it just bugs me. Hopefully we'll get a normal patch soon though.I use the same theme on YSMenu as I used on the official R4 firmware.
If you're having trouble with it, PM me with your R4's theme and I can fix it to work in YSMenu for you.

Yeah..... until you get to the next blockage.
The game works with YSMenu, but there's no overlay for the train controls so you just go on auto, which is the problem.

I've just got to say, I love that AceKard always seems to make it to the closest to working of the flashcarts.

made my decision arbitrarily, so I just lucked out.

That aside, it's not just the overlay missing on anyone's. It's the actual control as well. I suspected a layer just wasn't being shown, but even if you look at what the screen _should_ look like and touch the proper spots, it changes nothing, the controls are removed, meaning you can't pass the first block.

Also, has anyone else noticed you have a heart meter where the time should be when the overlay is missing? Wonder what's with that. Haven't seen any ss's of the actual screen minus overlay posted, so I figured I'd point that out as it's something some may never see.

Since that thread was closed again, the RPG does differ from the other Acekards. A few games like GTA Chinatown Wars were working the day it released on the RPG even though it was defective on AK2s and most other products. You should not count on this being any different because it's pretty evident that it's not working on anything right now apart from the emulator.
