The answer is you don't need MSET or a frankenfirmware.

1) MAKE A NAND BACKUP. Save it in 2 or 3 different folders on your PC. Can't have too many backups...

2) Back up your ENTIRE SD CARD.

3) Follow any number of Guides to downgrade your 3DS to 11.2

4) Using files I've posted elsewhere on this site, Use Luma to chainload bootCtr9, to chainload the GW loader.

5) Allow GW to create an Emunand (your SD card will be wiped out)

6) Copy all of your SD card files back

7) Update your sysnand back to the latest

8) Enjoy your 3ds with an updated sysnand, and an 11.2 emunand that you can use the Gateway in.

try another torrent program. if you are on linux, you could try transmission, deluge, or qbittorrent, for example
if still facing problems, check your firewall or your isp (if it's your isp, you could try opera with the default vpn and some of the "download torrent from the browser" pages)

and yes i am also here for the "it's bricked" part, wondering how long till it happens. lol.

what transfer (I haven't read the whole thread... just going off of the title)? You need to search for the firmware files. You can actually download them yourself with NUS downloader or something like that.

You seriously need to read a downgrading guide. It's quite obvious you haven't, and you're going to brick your 3ds if you don't.

One thing I left out... while in 11.2, you'll be using an official method to launch GW to create the emunand, and the files I posted in a different thread to get to GW via luma->bootctr9->GW once everything is setup and your sysnand is upgraded again.

still, that does not qualify as a brick, you need to understand that the bricks we are talking about could end up becoming unrecoverable. If you want to risk that, go ahead, don't come here demanding for help when your 3ds bricks

it's a problem on your end. like i said, try another torrent program, check your firewall, and if nothing works, curse your isp

if you have another pc at hand, try to download things there

edit: also mind that the torrent failing on your end may be the universe's way of telling you "dont try it"

You are well in over your head, especially if you lack a proper unbricking method like a hardmod or a flashcart that works with ntrboot. Please understand the kind of fire you are playing with, you can do what you please but no one is going to feel bad for you when you do brick your system.
