Yeah. You probably have rednand which cuts down the size of a 1.8 gb nand by obviously quite a lot.So I'm in the middle of getting my OTP part. Dumping my sysnand and emunand but the 2 nands have different sizes 1.84gb and the other is 1.21gb respectively. Is this normal?
No. You first have to downgrade it to 9.2.new 3ds with 9.6.0-24E can use cfw too, right ?
I know that, I was curious if I can downgrade it. What is the highest current firmware what can be downgraded anyway ?No. You first have to downgrade it to 9.2.
The current firmware is 11.x. You do NOT want to be on that firmware b/c Nintendo went all DEFCON 1 on us and, while I don't know the mechanics, basically cut all forms of downgrading at that firmware except with a hardmod for an indefinite amount of time. Basically, you have one chance now not to screw up the downgrade b/c if it's softbricked and you have to go through recovery mode, then say goodbye to downgrading unless you want a get a hardmod. 10.7 was the last fw version to be able to downgrade through homebrew means.I know that, I was curious if I can downgrade it. Try dumping them again just in case.So I'm in the middle of getting my OTP part. Dumping my sysnand and emunand but the 2 nands have different sizes 1.84gb and the other is 1.21gb respectively. Is this normal?
No, they're correct.Try dumping them again just in case.
This is just in case. However this is weird as mine seems to be the same size even after I tried to back up multiple times. No, they're correct.
Info on Nand Size: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/NAND-Size
The FAQ also explains that RedNand will always the smallest NAND size: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/FAQ#faq_rednand
If your actual sysNAND is already the smallest possible size, then it can't be cut down anymore by redNAND. If it was the biggest size sysNAND, then it's possible you setup emuNAND, rather than redNAND, both are similar and using either allows you to complete the guide just fine. This is just in case. Some people have reported issues with some games with the overclock, you'll just have to test it, but it only impacts battery life by around 5%.Have some questions so basically first one is plialect says in his guide that if your on n3ds you should overclock it with luma which I did it seems fine so far but just wondering is it fully safe? Another thing is I installed a theme shuffling cia on my 3ds with a program I found on the temp do you know where those cias would be stored so I can delete them or just something else so I can delete them? Another thing do you guys have any cool sans themes for the homemenu Or homebrew menu or a custom animation for bootanim9 ???
nah no issues for well over a week and I can use chmm2 to delete the cia I installed it was a tool by the creator of soon2 I believe it was called the howling theme tool and you would get themes pack it as a cia and install? and 3dsthemes has animations? Some people have reported issues with some games with the overclock, you'll just have to test it, but it only impacts battery life by around 5%.
As for the themes thing, use CHHM2 and 3DSThem.es.

You'll need to uninstall the Howling Theme Tool using a CIA manager, like FBI/DevMenu//BBM//etc. CHHM2 is just another way to get custom themes. As far as I'm aware 3dsthemes doesn't have bootanim9 animations. You'll have to make them yourself.nah no issues for well over a week and I can use chmm2 to delete the cia I installed it was a tool by the creator of soon2 I believe it was called the howling theme tool and you would get themes pack it as a cia and install? and 3dsthemes has animations?
EDIT: a bit off topic but nice pc specs O,o lmao
howling theme tool is a pc thing tho thats what im trying to say all i did was go up into fbi and install the cia I packed, and I just read somewhere that bootanim9 screws with lumas patches and you have to use the pathchanger thing would you know how that works? You'll need to uninstall the Howling Theme Tool using a CIA manager, like FBI/DevMenu//BBM//etc. CHHM2 is just another way to get custom themes. Off-topic: Thanks! Used to be big on PC Gaming, but have calmed down now lol
I just kept the back screwed off until I was done so just pop it in and out its so easy just get a proper sized screwdriver and loosen the two screws (they are specially made so they woont come out) and then just use your nail to pop it off at the little area at the top sides of each it really is noob friendly if you dont understand just google it plus its a lot faster this wayHello, if anyone sees this
I've ordered a N3DS XL which I plan to run A9LH on, question is, what is a good program to use for moving files back and forth on the SD Card? As ive seen its different compared to the O3DS regarding taking out the mSD. Is there any easy-noob friendly homebrew out there?
Thanks!~

no problem was that clear enough i can put it better if you need lol was just quickly typing and the part where you put your nail just to get a better idea it is on the left and right of the back directly under the l and r buttons and then just an inch to the left and or rightHmm, well, okay thank you for this suggestion ^~^
