3. For the fifth step, "Open the arduino IDE and watch the serial monitor, after the card is initialized choose the erase option then terminate the programs execution" So, after powering up the Aruino Uno and 3DS run the code from the IDE.
From your code I do not see erase option. Does it should be done on PC?

1. Does your code still work? I have an Arduino Uno and I am going to try your unbricking method next week.
2. For the voltage converter, can I use 4050 (http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/HEF4050B.pdf)?
