Why use YSMenu on your DSTT?
Just use the firmware itself.

I can think of two good reasons......

1) Alphabetical file listing.
2) File delete.

I have a YSMenu with this new firmware if anyone wants it (PM me).

So...after using Depravo's YSAuto some .dat files appeared in the folder. I just need to copy and paste those in the TTMenu folder in my flashcart and overwrite the older ones, right?

Don't complicate things; delete all of the old TTMenu files from the memory card.

The YSMenu files to transfer should be.....

TTMenu.dat
YSMenu.ini
YSMenu "folder" (Rename to TTMenu to avoid reset error)

Depravo's YSAuto is defaulted to creat a .nds file instead of a firmware. Tried to change that by using r4config.bat but it still doesn't work...

Yeah. That was pretty helpful too.

EDIT: Btw, I patched Spirit Tracks with the Xenophobia fix and I'm using the online fix cheat code for PS0. Since this new version apparently fixes the problems, should I just get clean roms are is it OK not to?

Can anyone tell me what the fix was for Spirit Tracks? I just got it and it works fine so far. I have 1.15 ATM and I'd rather not get a new firmware.
woah...1.15??thats like ancient...also Spirit Tracks patched works on 1.15?1.17a12 fixes Spirit Tracks so no need for a patched rom,you should get this firmware,it fixes almost everything post release
Yeah, works fine and dodges AP as long as I properly patch. Does that mean 1.17a12 is like AKIAO (however you spell it), just without the constant AP bypassing?
it automatically bypasses the AP,if you use the patched one,its fine too

*sigh* Seems I just need a _DS_MENU.dat.

If anyone could upload the one you're using, it would be very appreciated. ;|

i think and i have tested, you dont need the "TTMENU.SYS"

So, just use -> TTMENU folder and the TTMENU.DAT... Every will work fine!

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
