So I am happy that this is a thing, but I have yet to understand why I should actually switch to it? I believe I am using haxchi at the moment with autoboot enabled. I've been reading allot of the posts and the main post over and over again, but it doesn't really seem to explain why I should switch from haxchi to tiramisu, lol. Any help on in lightening me on this matter would be great.

If this was explained, and I missed it, I apologize.

It's safer than CBHC, since Tiramisu doesn't rely on something that can be removed/altered to boot.

Honestly, it's mostly a matter of personal preference at this point if you already have Haxchi and aren't coldbooting into it.

Thanks, I was just wondering why everyone was getting so excited about this. I thought maybe there was some kinda of ground being broken in the Wii U scene lol. Also, I know you said it was a matter of preference, but would it be worth switching to this and getting rid of Haxchi?

I don't know if it's the new update, but The Wonderful 101 gets stuck on the choose save file screen. I have the Eur region game, on an American console, and I've never had that problem, I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it didn't work.

My personal opinions are as follows:
  • If you don't have Haxchi/CBHC installed, install Tiramisu instead, regardless of whether or not you want to coldboot into it.
  • If you have CBHC installed, uninstall it and use Tiramisu instead.
  • If you have Haxchi installed, leave it installed and install Tiramisu without setting it up to boot on coldboot. Play around with Tiramisu and decide yourself if it's worth removing Haxchi. If you run into issues, use Haxchi instead. Obviously, you can only run one at a time. If you want to switch between Haxchi and Tiramisu, or vice versa, you have to power off the console and power it back on.
I never had Haxchi/CBHC, so my choice was easy.

I think I'm gonna try it, I'll backup everything of course then install Tiramisu. Would you say it runs smoother and faster then Haxchi?

I don't have any direct experience with Haxchi. I always used the browser exploit to run Mocha. My understanding from posts I've read in this thread is that it's faster than Haxchi.

yes, it's faster than cbhc. regular haxchi still required some manual input even if it's just selecting the game. don't need to do that with tiramisu. there are a couple bugs I've encountered, but nothing major, the other bugs have been fixed.

Little info:

that's how I work, I use two SD cards (Tiramisu 32go, Haxchi 64go).

I can't seem to find how it is related. but after last update in autoboot module, my loadiine gx2 ymod stopped working

Edit: It Turns out it was not the update.
I downloaded and installed another homebrew app and did overwrite all files. Among these files was the manifest.install & info.json from root of SD Card. I Fixed it by replacing these two files with the ones from the loadiine_gx2_y.zip that i downloaded from fortheusers website.

@Maschell , although the disconnected hdd message no longer appears with the quick menu enabled, I still can't launch games from external using the quick menu. it just throws me into the wii u home menu.
Yeah that was the issue I was receiving before the update. And the update didn't fix that. For now I'm just storing my favorite most regularly booted quickly games to the NAND and that's sufficing, but if the issue could properly be fixed, that'd be amazing, but I do have my doubt that it can.

Can you try this build? The timeout has been changed to 20 instead of 10 seconds.
Would appreciate if you could also post the results here, but you don't have to

Hi Maschell, will this "timeout increase" slow down the rest of us who are not having this issue?

For the people who are having this HDD disconnect issue, have you tried using a different/faster HDD? Or perhaps an SSD/ flash drive instead?

Its not like the old version with the previous timeout just disappears now that there's a new version out that accomodates for more hard drives. Also, I can tell you, this new version that now properly works for me for quickstarting games on USB, and I'm not noticing any difference in time for anything to load. There may be a difference, but it's negligible if there is one, I certainly can't notice it.
